Cassia's POV:
"I'm moving." Harry whispered, his eyes slowly turning towards mine. I noticed that under his eyes, there were circles, marks of sleepless nights and long days.
He had known something was up, and he had been worrying.
"W-why?" I sputtered, suddenly having to lean agains the wall for balance as everything around me started to spin.
"I...my family doesn't...we..." He sighed, putting a hand on his forehead. "We don't have enough money. It's too expensive to live here."
I felt a bubble of fury rise inside of me.
"Why doesn't your dad or mum make enough money?"
He flinched. "Well, um...you see, my dad...left the family a few years back. And my mom works at the day care center, which makes barely enough money to keep us alive."
I raised an eyebrow. "Us?"
"My sister and me." He muttered.
I gulped, afraid of the question I was about to ask, even though I already knew the answer. "S-so you're really going to be gone? Forever?"
He nodded. That was enough for me.
"I-I have to go." I murmured, pushing past him and running into the bathroom.
I fell in a heap on the floor, feeling tears stream down my flushed cheeks.
Why did I care so much? Why did I care so much about a boy I barely knew?
I felt suddenly sick and I leaned over the toilet seat, feeling like something was going to come up at any moment.
I then heard a small tentative knock on the door.
"Cassia?" I heard Harry's low, calming voice say. "Can I come in?"
"S-sure." I said. I then felt my stomach lurch as all of what I had just eaten came up and into the toilet.
"Oh my God!" Harry yelled. Instead of running away from me, who was obviously sick as a dog, he ran towards me, kneeling down next to me and patting my back.
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't feel so well before I came here."
He nodded. "Are you okay?" He asked, standing up next to me.
I shrugged. "I don't know." I shook my head. "I don't know why you moving matters so much to me. I shouldn't care. I hardly even know you. Heck, I just learned that you had a sister today!"
He nodded understandingly.
I let out a small sob. "It's just that, I don't know..." I sniffed. "You're so nice when you get to know you...and I really don't want to lose our friendship."
He gave me a small smile. "I'm glad to know that you care so much about me, though I don't blame you." He said, earning a glare from me. "Kidding, kidding. And I promise Cassia, promise, that I will keep in touch with you. If you want to still be friends, then I'm great with that."
I smiled back. "Maybe I should go home now." I said, gesturing towards my stomach.
He laughed. "Want me to take you home?"
I nodded, giving him a thankful smile.
"Just don't throw up in my car." He said, grinning playfully at me. "It's my mom's. I probably shouldn't even be driving it, since I don't have my license yet."
Under most circumstances, I would've not gotten into a car with someone who wasn't legal to drive, but since I could be hunched over on the side of the road vomiting without him, I couldn't pass up the offer.
We talked very little, but there was no awkward silence. It was just peaceful, very, very peaceful.

I spent the rest of my night in bed, fortunately not throwing up for the test of the night.
But the second the lights in my room went out, I realized just how restless I was.
I turned on my bedside lamp and stumbled out of bed, grabbing a small book I kept underneath my bed.
I smoothed my hand over the cover, which was worn out and covered with my name.
I took a pen from my desk and sat down at the foot of my bed, and I opened up to a clean page.
Dear Cassia,
Today, you had a pretty bad night. Even though you had fun with Dani and were planning to have fun later at Jackie's party, it got completely ruined.
The boy that hated you, Harry? Yeah, he's your 'friend' now. And he's moving.
Why do you care so much? Didn't he hurt you?
You don't know why, it just does.
Maybe one day, you can get over it.
Maybe.
But right now, you think you're falling for the boy who's so mean.
Much luck,
Cassia.
