Gigi's POV:
"Gigi?" I heard Liam's voice echo on the other end of the line.
"Hey!" I said, trying to sound as cheerful as possible. "How's you're day been? Mines been great. I went to the movies, I went to a basketball game, I-"
"Woah there, Tiger, slow down." He laughed. I felt color rising to my cheeks.
"Ah, sorry." I mumbled.
"It's fine." He chuckled. "Answering your question, my days been good, but it will get better when I see you."
I blushed even more, then covered it up, nervous that he'd sense me being flattered.
"Oh, uh, well..." I stuttered, trying to find the right words. "Me too."
"I'll be there in five minutes. See you soon."
Even after the line ended and the dial-tone went dead, I held the phone up to my ear.
I'd never felt this way about someone before. Yeah, if I saw someone attractive on TV or in magazines, then I'd recognize that. It's just the boys that I've ever met just seem...boring.
My heart leaped when I heard the ring of my doorbell.
I smoothed out my shirt, quickly checked my hair, and sprinted downstairs.
I opened the door to a smiling, extremely handsome Liam.
I grinned, but felt weak at the knees.
He put a hand on my shoulder.
"Ready?" He asked, his calm, smooth voice immediately turning me into mush.
"Y-yeah." I stuttered, most likely a stupid grin placed on my face.
We walked to his car, and hopped in.
"So how's your football been going?" He asked, after a few minutes of silence.
I shrugged. "Fine. I've just been pretty busy with school work lately."
He nodded. "Me too. I have almost no time for anything but school."
"Mhm."
He glanced at me for a second then looked back.
"You look really nice tonight." He said, gripping the steering wheel even tighter.
I blushed. "Thanks. You do too."
He smiled, and I noticed a little color creep up to his cheeks as well.
"Here we are." He said, pulling into the parking lot of a small restaurant.
"It's nothing fancy," He explained, as we walked up to the door. "But it's one of my favorite Italian food places."
We walked in to a small, quaint, room, filled with 4 or 5 other customers.
I smiled. "I love little places like this."
His grin grew as we got seated at a table in the corner.
"What do you like eating?" He asked.
I laughed. "Anything that's edible, pretty much."
He chuckled, scanning the menu with his eyes. "How about the fried squirrel?"
My eyes widened. "They have that?"
He laughed even harder, his eyes squinting in an adorable way.
"No, but now I just proved you wrong."
I rolled my eyes. "That's hardly edible." Then I smiled. "I think I'm gonna get the spaghetti."
"Me too. Do you like cheese on it?" He asked, handing the menus to the just arrived waiter.
I shrugged. "Whatever you think is better."
He looked up at the man. "Two spaghetti's with no cheese, please."
The man nodded and walked away.
I snickered. "No cheese is better?"
He nodded then cracked a smile. "Sometime it tastes kind of moldy." He fake gagged and we chuckled before going back to normal, civilized conversation.
After dinner was over, he left a tip and stood up.
"That was amazing." He said, nodding satisfyingly.
He smile in agreement.
When we got back in the car, I turned on the radio, and turned up the heat.
A song I liked, the one by Paramore that I had heard in the car with Olivia and those girls came on.
I saw next to me Liam humming along.
I smiled. "You sound really good."
He laughed. "Nah, I'm not that great."
I shook my head. "No, sing. I bet you have an amazing voice."
He shrugged. "Maybe later. I'll song for you some day."
I groaned, but I then noticed that he had stopped the car and we were parked outside of my house.
"Whoops. Thank you so much, Liam."
He smiled and leaned over, kissing me softly on the lips.
I felt my heart burst out of my chest, and butterflies flutter in my stomach.
"No problem. I had an amazing time."
I stumbled out of the car and clumsily waved to Liam as he drove away.
I sighed as I fell onto my front steps.
And for a while, I just sat there.
