Avery could honestly say that she's been through more than the average teen, it being the truth and nothing but the truth while others chose to lie about it. Her family never lived the American Dream with the white picket fence and the well behaved family pet. They didn't have much, but they were able to get by, best of all, they had each other. The little happiness that they had of course didn't last long because things took a turn for the worse when at the tender age of thirteen, her brother was murdered right before her eyes.

Now that of course was something that she witnessed and could never forget, Avery was scared and now had that scene embedded in her brain. She didn't show it much because she believed that showing your emotions could be something people can use against you but she was crushed, heartbroken that the source of the little happiness that she did have was now gone. Her protecter not being able to his job leaving her to feel vulnerable. By the time she entered her late teen years, Avery's heart had turned cold.

You'd think that it'll stop there but it didn't. Shortly after her brother was murdered, her father committed suicide and her mother had turned to drugs as a way to deal with the emotional pain of losing not only her son but her husband. From then on she stopped caring about any and everyone after these tragic events. The only thing she cared about was getting revenge on the person who took her brother's life away.

With a ruthless attitude and revenge being the only thing on her mind, she's made it her mission to kill everyone that had even the slightest bit of involvement in the murder. It didn't matter to her because in her opinion, everyone was responsible. Some might think she's being unreasonable but she wasn't. Avery is smart and will use that to her advantage.

She isn't your average teen. Avery goes through a series of twists and turns as she seeks revenge, taking out whoever gets in her way, but all the while being sure to cover her tracks. When she finally comes face to face with the cause of all the emotional suffering she's been through, she has to make a decision. Will she spare the killer's life or show no mercy?
