[Rio in the multimedia]
In the movies and stuff the diners would usually be occupied with little to no customers but this one was the complete opposite. They figured it was popular or something because people swarmed in and it took long for the food to actually be in front of you. Being the person he is, Joey was tempted to just up and leave but he didn't drive and Avery looked like she didn't want to leave. He hoped that the food was decent because if it isn't, no doubt he'll make a fool out of himself.
"I knew it was too good to be true." Joey mumbled. "Get five stars on Google and don't know how to act."
When Avery opened her mouth to say something, she closed it and smiled softly at the waitress that sat their plates on the table before them. Joey watched her closely and let his eyes scan her curves, debating in his mind whether or not her assets were real or not simply because they seemed too good to be true. Shaking her head, Avery picked up the knife that sat besides her plate and cut a piece off of her pancake before using the fork to bring it into her mouth. The wait was worth it in her opinion because so far the food tasted amazing.
"Don't touch my shit." Joey stared at the waitress as he watched her walk away with a blank look on his face.
"I have my own food." Avery spat.
He shook his head and got up from the booth they were in before following behind the waitress. She couldn't help but to laugh, knowing that it wouldn't be hard for him to have her bending over. Joey's idea of him enjoying himself on a mission was either having sex with woman or catching bodies. Avery would say that him having sex was what he enjoyed the most, despite it being dangerous to be sleeping around with random women as much as he did.
Looking around, she smiled when seeing that he was nowhere in sight and leaned over to take two bacon strips from his plate and placing it on hers. He wouldn't be back in time to actually eat the food so she'll do it for him. Avery hadn't eaten real food in days and when having the chance to, she took it. The sound of her phone vibrating on the table caused her to look down down and sigh when seeing Isaiah's name.
"Did you guys arrive yet?" He asked as soon as she answered the phone, not bothering to greet her.
"I texted you to let you know but pops, I really don't know how I'm going to end that lady's life. I have a lot of shit on my mind right now." Avery told him as she stared down at her plate.
"Hey, don't think about anything else but what you went to do because you can't fuck this up, alright?" The line went silent as he waited for her to respond. She would've never snapped out of the daze she was in if he didn't shout her name.
"What did you say?" She asked making him suck his teeth before she heard shuffling in the background.
"I'm sending you her address and I want you and Joey to either go now or later on tonight to scope out the area." Avery nodded her head as if he could see her. "Make sure you stay hidden because security is heavy at her spot and y'all are done for if y'all get caught. None of our people are down there to help you out on this one so be careful."
"Always, but I gotta go."
"Call me later." Were the last words he said then the phone went dead. She placed it back on the table and brought the glass of orange juice up to her lips as her eyes danced around the diner.
