[Joey in the multimedia]
Music continued to play from the phone that now sat on the floor, open to the music app as Kendrick Lamar's 'Money Trees' played. Due to Avery knocking out completely and not having the strength to do much, she was spread out on the floor beside her phone with her mouth hung open. Some of her covered her face as the same clothes she had on from yesterday was still on. This is one of the many reasons why she absolutely abhors traveling, packing was so much work.
"Avery, get your little ass up, girl!" She heard, startling her which caused for her to sit up with her balled fist in the air.
Her eyes scanned the small bedroom before they came in contact with the full body mirror not too far from where she sat. Avery couldn't help but to frown when seeing that she went to sleep with the same thing she had on yesterday, suddenly feeling dirty. She checked her phone for the time and groaned when seeing that it was only a little after five. Hoping that the person who owned that voice would go away, she laid back down and closed her eyes.
"Don't make me come in there with a bucket full of water." Joey threatened. His voice had grown closer which made her sit back up.
"You wouldn't." Avery said in a tired voice while using her nightstand table to help stand up onto her feet.
"Try me."
She rolled her eyes. Pushing her hair away from her face, she yawned and stretched her hands. Avery rather be safe than sorry. Knowing him, he will actually come in here and throw water on here to wake her up.
"You really get on my nerves sometimes." She stated as she made her way outside her bedroom.
"Whatever." Joey replied with a chuckle. "You still love me though."
Avery furrowed her eyebrows then followed his voice to the kitchen. Like usual, he was going through her things in search for something to fill his stomach. He never stayed at his house but stayed at other people house's, it didn't make sense. Then it clicked, Avery frowned.
"How the hell did you get in here?" She crossed her arms and leaned against the wall.
"What do you mean?" Joey then started to raid the refrigerator.
"You don't have a key anymore last time I checked. Dumb ass lost it."
Joey finally turned around to face her with one of the many Sunny-D bottles that were sitting in her refrigerator up to his lip, downing the yellow liquid. His face showed that he was clearly amused which caused Avery's frown to deepen. She hated when people didn't take her seriously. Joey wiped his mouth before opening it to speak.
"You didn't want to give me another one, I had to break in your shit." He responded with a smile. "I didn't want to come in through the door because that would've been fucked up. What kind of person would I be if I did that knowing damn well we about to leave and there's no way to get it fixed on time? I just came in through the living room window, I'll pay to get it repaired."
That was Joey Santana for you. Glaring at him, Avery shook her head, heading for the bathroom. As she finger combed through her disheveled hair, she could hear what sounded to be the television turning on. Avery couldn't help but to roll her eyes, annoyed with Joey's presence.
"What time do we have to be at the airport!?" She waited for him to responded by the entrance of the bathroom.
"Seven, but knowing you, you won't be done getting ready for over an hour. We'll have to take that hour drive there and go straight to Isaiah's private jet." He answered.
