Getting to know each other (Calen)

I still couldn't believe my mate was so gorgeous. That first time I woke up and seen him with his long white with yellow blonde streaks, and his golden yellow eyes were like nothing I've ever seen. I was surprised that he learned to speak my language so well after only reading half a book. I learned his name and that he was a lieutenant of what he called the flying core, and how he came here I was worried that the demon came over with him, but he assured me he seen no sign of it. I got him some clothing when started stripping off the silver metal armor he wore. Now we were walking around the city. He was very confident and didn't shy away from anyone who said hi.

"Calen are you going to introduce your friend" Pops said he and Papa were sitting on a bench in the park.

"Pops, Papa this is Arlo Rhain, Arlo my grandfathers Howlen Wolfe and Cazmir Silver" I smiled. He looked confused.

"Why is your sir name Night" he asked. I loved his voice and his accent which reminded me of a English accent.

"They are my mother's parents" I answered. He still looked confused.

"Meaning I gave birth to Calen's mother Meya" papa said.

"I see so your world has the option for men to bare children as well" he said.

"Do you mean where you came from they have a way that men can become pregnant" Pops asked.

"Yes, it opens doors for many. You see in my realm we don't choose our partners, and even then there are few women due to the war with demons they killed many of the women in the beginning. I guess in hopes our forces would die out and we would of if it wasn't for one wizard who discovered a spell that he could preform on men. Not everyone has the spell preformed but if you do it opens doors for you to be chosen. The higher your rank in the different cores also helps" he answered.

"Well no we don't have anything like that Caz is just special. So tell us did you have this spell preformed" Pops asked.

"I did for two reasons. One I've always wanted to be a father, two their isn't many griffins left" he answered. He looked sad now. I wanted to help him but I didn't know how and I feared if we somehow was able to he would go back and I would lose him.

"Are you hungry" I asked in hopes to change his mood.

"I am" he answered. Looking at me I wondered what he was thinking.

"You kids go on, We are going to have lunch just the two of us" Pops said.

"It was a pleasure to meet you both" Arlo said bowing his head slightly. He did that whenever he met someone. I tryed to tell him he didn't have to after we left my grandfathers. He explained that he was raised to show respect to everyone. I also learned he didn't have family like I have once he was born he was taken to a military school and raised there. He dreams of having his own family and being able to raise his children and remain with his partner. We were sitting in the dining hall of the pack house.

"How do you feel about me as a partner" I asked I had to know even though it seemed fast.

"To be chosen by a leader even a future one. Would be a great honor, but surely you have other options your realm has many females to chose" he said.

"The thing is wolves don't chose their mates. We believe the moon goddess chooses our mates, and when I touched you that first time I knew you were meant to be mine" I said. We were interrupted by Mom, Dad and Kela joining us. I introduced them to Arlo.

"Well welcome to the family Arlo" Mom smiled. He looked surprised.

"So if I answer you yes I would be apart of your family" he asked looking at me.

"Yes, the whole pack is family" I answered. He looked around the room at everyone who was here. Of course not everyone was here but quite a few were.

"What are you two going on about" Dad asked.

"Uhg dad I asked him to be my mate" I sighed.

"I would be honored to be your partner" Arlo said a smiled it was the first time I seen him smile. I wanted to take him some where private and make him fully mine, but felt it was a bit to soon for that, and it would be rude to leave in the middle of lunch.

"So does that mean I can hand over Alpha to you sooner, Son" Dad asked. 

"Benji, how about congratulating them. Instead of being well an ass" mom said I couldn't help myself not to snicker. I even heard Arlo laugh lightly.

"Congratulations to you both, Welcome to the family Arlo" Dad said. Just after Nana appeared and smacked him on the back of the head. I introduced Nana and Gramps to Arlo when they sat. They both welcomed him to the family. Nana even hugged him like we normally did when bringing in a new member. He looked a little weirded out about it. We excused ourselves shortly after.

"Would you like a room of your own or would you like to share with me" I asked once we were alone. We had went up to my room so we could talk.

"I think I would prefer to stay with you" he answered.
