Training (Arlo)

Training with General Mason was ok. I still didn't like the guy or the way he would look at Calen. Even though he said he had a partner back home. I knew sometimes a few would take more then one. I knew I could trust Calen but I wouldn't put it past this guy to force himself on another. I even told Calen the feeling the General gave me. It got worse when he saw Rhain and Carleigh. I swear if he touches any of my babies I will kill him. I will be glad once this guy leaves. Calen still worried he'd try to get me to go. So Cal and I stayed close to each other and made sure someone we trusted was with Rhain and Carleigh at all times. 6 months went by and it felt like the General was making excuses on why he couldn't make the portal. One time it's the weather the next it was something to do with the alignment of the stars. I was getting tired of the excuses and decided to confront him about it of course Calen was right beside me, but before I could other members expressed concern that the General gave them a bad feeling also. I was beginning to wonder whether the whole thing was a ploy that he had sided with the demons, and was sent here as a test. I told Cal he pulled Maxie, Josh, Geo, all the top fighters, his Mom, and grandparents. As a matter of fact practically the whole pack except a few warriors in charge of keeping the General distracted while we discussed our options. A few of the others did ask if I could open a portal, and I told them that the air core wasn't trained in portal magic. One asked if we could force the General to open one. Unfortunately we can't someone could get hurt or worse killed. The only option that everyone could agree on was putting him in the jail cells. So once decided we went and put the general in the cells. After a fight of course, he did ask why and Cal told him exactly why so now if he wants out the boy why is it he makes a portal and leaves but the the cells will prevent any demons coming and causing more harm. A couple days later he disappeared from the cells with nothing left behind, but that didn't want we couldn't stay off our toes and stay vigilant.

Many years have past with no sign of the General or any other portals. Rhain and Carleigh are grown now. I did have another son which Cal and I named Benson. After Cal's dad. We choose Benson together. He is now six and shifts to a winged wolf. Rhain is a griffin, and Carleigh is just a lion shifter. Rhain is mated to a lovely wolf from the pack named Jewel. Carleigh is also with a lovely girl from the pack named Ember. Benson is to young or at least we think so, but it has been known for wolves to bond at a young age. Benson really hasn't shown any preference to one.

* I really forgot where I wanted to take this story, and life got busy so I tryed to finish it the best I could. I may add more later. But for now this is the end of Strange creatures. I may try to write about Benson sometime.leave me comments on whether you would like to see a story about (The Winged Wolf)
