My family (Arlo)

I have my family the one thing I wanted more then anything in this world or any world. I was very happy that the god, goddess or whatever forces that made it possible for me to be here. As a matter of fact I had to even thank that demon that opened the portal. I wouldn't trade my life here with Calen and now our son Rhain and daughter Carleigh, but I was a little home sick. Even though I grew up in the military and barely remember any peaceful days, and if given the chance I would never take my son and daughter unless there was peace.  Rhain and Carleigh are now six months old Calen had returned to his alpha duties when they were a month old. I on the other hand didn't return to guard duty. Though I am training a few new guards, but only when I wanted to and Cal even would make sure to come have lunch and dinner with us, and if we needed him he would leave at a moment's notice. Today has been a busy day with a couple of Alphas coming to visit tomorrow. He hasn't had a chance to have lunch and the kids noticed and have been asking for Dada for the past 10 minutes. So we were heading to his office and I'm demanding he take at least a few minutes with us. Geo, his mate, Amanda were here. They had taken over Beta duties while Josh was recovering from delivering his and Maxie's Son Gus a few days ago. Josh had a rough pregnancy and even though he almost died he still wanted more children, but Doctor Sam they will not be able to have anymore children of their own.

"Hey Arlo" Geo said when I came in with Rhain on one hip and Carleigh on the other.

"Dada" both said over and over practically climbing out of my arms trying to get to Calen when he came around the desk.

"I know, I know I missed lunch. Sorry we just wanted to make sure everything was ready for the other Alphas tomorrow" Cal said.

"Well I'm making you come now and have lunch with us you guys can finish later" I said.

"I can finish up here Alpha go ahead and take the rest of the day off"Geo said.

"Thank Geo" we both said, and went.

"Sorry Arlo" he frowned once we were alone well besides Rhain and Carleigh who he was now holding.

"Don't apologize to me, I'm not the one you promised to be have lunch and dinner with everyday no matter what was going on" I said.

"I know, but I did promise you I wouldn't be like my parents and be to busy for our babies" he said

"Just don't make it a habit" I smiled at him taking Carleigh from him then wrapped one arm around him and laying my head ontop of his. I had to give his butt a squeeze. Of course he jumped a squeaked.

"Hey none of that around the kids" He scolded. His face bright red. It wasn't the kids that was the problem it was the fact anyone within eye sight turned and looked at us.

"Aww what's wrong is the big bad Alpha embarrassed" I teased.

"Pay back is a bitch bird boy" he smiled wickedly. Maybe we could get the kids to bad early and in their own beds. Then we can spend some private time just the two of us.

"We could ask Mom and Dad to take them for tonight" he whispered reading my mind. I wasn't comfortable being away from the kids even if it was for one night and they would be right next door. Cal and I had our own house right next door to his parents now. Little Kela liked coming over and playing with them everyday.

"Maybe for a hour or two" I said. He was giving his puppy dog eyes, and I couldn't say no. Besides we haven't been alone since Rhain and Carleigh were born.

"Ok that sounds like a good compromise" he smiled and gave me a quick kiss.
