The bell rang signalling the end of the school day. Tyler got a bit worried because he didn't see Josh at lunch time. It was all ok though because he saw him in music. Tyler did what he usually did in his classes with Josh. Admire the pink haired boy that he had fallen so hard for.

Tyler waited by the front entrance door waiting for Josh. He felt awkward standing there on his own. Is this where he was meant to wait for Josh?

Josh came out through the doors and looks around.

"Josh!" Tyler says happily.

Josh looks round and sees Tyler.

"Hey Tyler." Josh replies nervously.

He found it cute that he was nervous. Josh started walking to his car and Tyler followed.

There was silence as they walked. It felt a little awkward. Tyler suddenly remembered Josh's social anxiety and he felt bad.

"So," Tyler starts, "what do you like to do in your spare time?"

"I like to play drums." Josh says shyly.

"Oh cool! Do you get lessons?"

"Oh, no. It's quite funny actually. I play at the music store down the road. I play there until they kick me out. I find it fun to make up different beats and stuff."

Tyler giggled and so did Josh.

"So uh what about you?" Josh asked.

Tyler blushed. "Mines stupid."

"Oh come on. I get kicked out of stores just because I do what I love. Yours can't be worse."

"Ok. Promise you won't laugh at me?"

"Promise."

"Well," Tyler giggled, "I like to sing and write poetry." He winced waiting for Josh's reaction.

"That's sick. I bet your poetry is really good and I bet you sing like an angel."

Tyler blushed. "Thanks."

They got to Josh's car and headed to the cinema.

"So do you not have a drum kit at home?" Tyler asked.

"Nah. It sucks. My parents don't let me listen to music I like. They are really religious and only listen to Christian music. I love drumming. It makes a good sound and it's great for realising anger... How long have you been singing for?"

"I've been singing all my life, not professionally though. I've only sung to two people."

"Who? If you don't mind me asking."

"My mum and," Tyler sighed, "my old best friend." He looked down at his lap and started playing with his thumbs.

"Aw I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you."

"No it's fine." Tyler smiled to himself. "They told me I was good though."

"Dude! You need to sing for me one day then."

Tyler blushed. He never thought someone was that interested in an invisible boy who nobody cares about.

Josh parked his car and they headed over to the cinema.

"Can we have two tickets to see Back To The Future III please?" Tyler asked the ticket seller. (I cringe at myself. They're prolly not that old but I couldn't think of a movie so let's just go with it.)

Tyler took out his wallet from his pocket.

"Tyler, what are you doing? This is my treat to say thank you." Josh said.

Tyler hesitated before he put his wallet away and Josh bought out his. Josh handed over the money and took the tickets.

They walked in and took their seats.

"This movie looks great." Josh whispered.

Tyler nodded enthusiastically making Josh giggle.

"I like your shirt by the way." Josh said filling the silence as they waited for the movie to begin.

"Thanks." Tyler blushed. "I like your sh-" but before Tyler could finish he was cut off by the load sound of the theme music of the movie.

I'm actually with Josh! Tyler thought. This is real!

Tyler couldn't concentrate on the movie as he was to busy thinking about the cute boy sitting next to him. He glanced over at Josh. His eyes were mesmerised by the movie. Tyler looked back at the screen smiling at himself at how cute he looked. His eyes were starting to get heavy and his mind continued to wonder on the topic of Josh until Tyler fell asleep.

"Tyler! Tyler!" Josh staged whispered whilst shaking Tyler.

Tyler smiled to himself, feeling warm with the sound of Josh's voice. He then snapped awake remembering where he was. He heard a small giggle by the side of him.

"Did I fall asleep?" Tyler asked, running his fingers through his hair.

"Yeah you did. I can't believe you fell asleep on me." Josh joked. "You missed the best part of the movie."

Tyler smirked.

"I'm sorry." He giggled. "How can I make it up to you good sir?" Tyler said in a posh tone.

Josh played along and stood up in a very Royal posture.

"Well peasant, you can take me to the arcade tomorrow evening to make up for falling asleep on me."

Josh paused looking down at Tyler. They both burst out laughing. Tyler felt happy that Josh was comfortable with him. He knew that they'd be close friends, but Tyler wanted more.

No! Stop it. He thought to himself. He doesn't like you like that. Just friends. You don't want to lose him.

"Come on then sleepyhead."

Josh extended his arm to help Tyler up. Tyler took his hand, feeling a rush of excitement to be touching the cotton candy haired boys hand. There was a second when they both looked at each other's eyes, but Tyler pushed Josh down. They both laid there in fits of laughter, not caring that the odd few people left were staring.

"Tyler," Josh gasped, "I really need to get home."

"No you don't. You can stay here."

"Umm, no you can't." Came a bored voice from the corner.

They both looked over to where the voice came from. They saw a young adult, with dark brown hair hidden under a plain blue cap, leaning on trolley with a bin and cleaning products. Obviously the janitor for the cinema. They both looked back at each other and tried to contain a giggle.

"Come on you." Josh sighed.

Tyler sighed too. "Fine."

He got up and followed Josh to the exit. Whilst walking to the car Josh was telling him all about the movie. He didn't really care about the film, he just liked hearing the sound of Josh's voice.
