Minutes later Josh arrived. Tyler was practically sitting and staring at the door, waiting for Josh. This meant that Josh only had to knock once before Tyler leapt at the door.

"Josh!" Tyler screamed.

"Tyler." Josh giggled.

Tyler took hold of Josh's arm and pulled him inside. Josh felt warmed by how happy and excited Tyler felt that he was here.

"So, what movies did you bring?" Tyler asked eagerly.

Josh showed him the few movies he bought.

"This one!" Tyler thrusted his finger to Scream.

Josh chuckled at how cliché that movie was. Still a classic though.

As Josh was figuring out how to put the movie in, Tyler quickly shuffled to the kitchen to grab the popcorn and get them both a drink.

"Tyler, how the frick do you work this thing?" Josh said, a little frustrated.

Tyler gave a cute little giggle before setting everything down on the coffee table to help Josh. All he had to was press a button and the disk holder came out. Josh's cheeks went a little red as he cursed the machine and went to go sit on the couch.

After they had settled on the couch, Tyler pressed play to the movie. There eyes were glued to the tv, although occasionally they would glance at each other.

Halfway through, Tyler felt a little sleepy and started nodding off, but then jumping awake. After a while of this, he decided he'd let himself fall asleep. The sound of the voices flowed away as he drifted on to cloud nine.

"Tyler," came a soft voice, shaking him awake. "Tyler, wake up, the movies over."

He gave a little mumble to show he was awake.

"You always fall asleep when I'm here, Ty."

They both giggled and Tyler got up to sit. He focused on the floor, slowly waking up from the small nap. Josh couldn't help but look at Tyler. His hair was squished where his head was resting on the couch, his face slightly puffy. Tyler noticed, and so he turned to face Josh. Before he could say anything Josh's lips were pressed against his. Tyler didn't know what was going on. A rush of confusion, delight, uncertainty and excitement pulsing through him. It was so much better than he could've ever imagined. He could feel his heart thudding in his chest as if it was yelling with excitement. This moment made fireworks explode all over. Feelings he never thought he had erupted through his veins. This was incredible. No, beyond incredible. No words could describe how awesome this was. Finally, the boy he was mad about, liked him too. His dreams were coming true.

Josh finally parted with Tyler. They paused to focus on each other. There was worry in Josh's eyes, but Tyler comforted him with a smile. Eagerly, Tyler went in for another, but they heard the door open, followed by a chirpy hello. They jolted apart and tried to act casual, but failed. Luckily Tyler's mum didn't know.

"Surprise." She came in with jazz hands and groceries. "Oh, I didn't know you'll be having a friend over."

Tyler and Josh gave a tiny smirking glance at each other sneakily.

"Mum," Tyler indicated to Josh, "this is Josh."

They both exchanged smiles.

"Well, I suppose I can make dinner for one more."

"Oh no Mrs Joseph, it's fine, I'll have dinner at my house."

"Honestly, I really don't mind and call me Kelly (thanks Lillian x). Plus, it'll be fun."

No further protest was made. The boys helped cook the meal whilst messing about. Tyler would always mock Josh jokingly at how polite he was to his mother.

"Can you boys set the table." Kelly called.

"On it!" Tyler replied.

Josh got hold of the napkins whilst Tyler grabbed the silverware. They set the table whilst joking and laughing. Tyler felt so comfortable around him, he could trust him with his life.

The food was dished up and on the table. Before they could eat, they decided to say grace, then they dug in. The meal began with small talk from back and forth between Kelly and Josh.

Josh finally warmed up to her presents and so he started to laugh and make jokes. It warmed Tyler that two of his favourite people were happy.

They finished dinner and cleaned up. Josh looked at his watch and said he had to go.

"Ooooh," whined Tyler, "do you have to go?"

"Please don't go." Kelly whined too.

This made everyone fall into fits of laughter.

"This evening has been lovely. Thank you Kelly for cooking that yummy meal and baring with me."

"It was no big deal. Remember, you're welcome back anytime you like."

"Thank you." Josh replied. "I'll see you soon. Ty, I'll text you."

They all walked to the door and waved Josh off as he drove away. Tyler felt a piece of him missing, but buzzing from this evening. Josh kissed him. Josh actually kissed him. This made Tyler giggle a bit. He couldn't believe it. After all these years, things were finally going right!
