"So, what are your thoughts on this wonderful painting, Ari Horan?" Niall asked, pretending to hold a microphone up to me.
I laughed and swatted him away, intertwining our fingers as we made our way around the third floor of the museum. Niall kept making up stories about the people in the painting and I was giggling at how ridiculous they were. We went up to the fourth floor to the photography section and I drug Niall along, showing him my favorite. I knew he was probably bored, but I didn't really care. It has always been a dream of mine to go to the Louvre and he knew that so he didn't complain.
"I've always seen pictures of this, but it looks so much better up close." I said quietly and Niall smiled a bit, sneaking a picture for me.
We slowly walked around and I explained why they were painted to Niall since I studied Art History in Uni. He seemed interested or at least he tried to make me think he was interested as he nodded along to what I was telling him. Niall gripped my hand tighter as we walked around and once at the Mona Lisa, I stopped. We stood in front of it and I couldn't keep the smile off of my face.
"Why weren't you this happy on our wedding day?" Niall teased me and I laughed, shoving his shoulder.
"How many times in your life are you going to see the Mona Lisa one foot away from you?" I asked and he smiled a little, looking over at me.
"Probably a lot because I have a feeling you are going to sneak a picture and show it to me all the time." He snickered and I elbowed his stomach even though he was right.
"Shut up." I mumbled and Niall laughed, wrapping an arm around me.
We finished up at the museum after about half an hour and we decided to go get dinner since it was already close to seven. We had tickets for the Eiffel Tower at nine so we had time to just chill out for a while. We walked down the street and found a small restaurant, heading inside out of the cold. I slipped my grey jacket off and put it on the back of my chair crossing one leg over the other as I attempted to warm up. Niall and I ordered a glass of wine each and I sighed, leaning back in my seat, taking a look around the small restaurant.
The waiter came back after a few minutes and Niall ordered for us since he spoke French and I could have swooned at they way he talked with the accent. It was hott. We got our food after a while and I immediately took a bite of the spaghetti since I was so hungry. Niall dug into his alfredo and I laughed as he got sauce on his chin. He looked at me confused and I reached across the table to wipe it off with my napkin.
"Thank ya, babe." He smiled and I did too, going back to eating my spaghetti.
This is the first time in months that I have finished a meal and I was actually kind of happy about it. I didn't feel the need to go throw up in the bathroom or weigh myself. Niall seemed to notice because he smiled over at me and ordered us more wine. We left the restaurant after paying and I zipped up my jacket and adjusted my beanie, letting Niall tug me closer to him. It took about twenty minutes to walk to the Eiffel Tower so we tried to keep up a fast pace, not wanting to be late. We stopped and got some hot chocolate, warming me up immensely.
"I swear, I cannot win." I laughed as it thundered and Niall laughed, pulling me against him as we waited for the elevator in the tower.
"Kiss in the rain on the Eiffel Tower. How romantic." Niall joked and I laughed a little, leaning against him as we stood in the crowded elevator.
Niall wrapped his arms around me upper body so we wouldn't take up too much space and I sighed in content, watching the numbers rise as we got closer to the viewing deck. I felt my excitement grow and Niall laughed at me when I bounced in my spot. I smiled up at him and Niall ducked his head to give me a small kiss, pulling away with a small smile. We eventually made it to the top and walked out, going towards the railing.
