I opened my mouth but my words caught in my throat, Lucas stood in front of me waiting for me to say something.

"When Abby and I were talking, it just really made me think."

"What about us living together?" Lucas laughed.

Was he laughing at me? I crossed my arms across my chest and looked down at my feet.

"Babe don't get mad. If that's what you want then it's what I want too."

I didn't want to tell him that it wasn't what I wanted yet, but I did see a future with him. I got up and walked into the house.

"Marie." Lucas shouted, jogging behind me. "Stop." He caught up to me, grabbing my arm he pulled me backwards into his hard chest.

"I don't want us to live together yet." I whispered, I felt like saying this was going to make him mad.

"I told you, it's whatever you want. If this isn't what your ready for then I will wait."

I wrapped my arm around Lucas, the front door opened and Gabe and Abby walked in.

"I think it's going to rain." Abby said when she saw that Lucas and I were in the kitchen.

"Well we can just watch a movie then." Lucas said.

"Fine but me and Abby get to pick it." I said, leading Abby into the living room. The guys groaned and went outside to bring the cooler of beer inside.

While Abby and I sat on the couch looking through the movies on demand, Gabe and Lucas came back inside. We chose "the fault in our stars" to watch. Abby and Gabe moved over to the two person recliner that sat in the corner, while Lucas and I cuddled on the couch.

"So we have something to tell you guys." Abby said out of nowhere. My heart dropped, oh god, she's pregnant!

I sat up on the couch and waited on her to say something.

"I proposed." Gabe said.

"And I said yes." Abby smiled.

"How? When? Where?"

Abby smiled wider at me.

"On our way home, Gabe hit a pothole. He got out to check the tire, then made me get out too, when I walked around the truck he was on his knee with the ring."

My heart fluttered, I was so happy for them, and maybe a little jealous. But my day would come, and I didn't want to rush my relationship.

"Ohh that's so cute! I'm so happy for you guys." I smiled at my best friend and brother. The rest of the night we laid in the living room and talked, paying little attention to the movie.

The next morning I woke up in bed, Lucas must have carried me up last night, I don't see how after him drinking so much, but he didn't even seem drunk.

I threw the blanket off my body and got up, I could hear Lucas in his office. I walked up to the open door. Lucas was sitting at his computer.

I stood in the door way, Lucas looked up at me and smiled. I walked over to him and sat down on his lap. "I'm thinking about moving." Lucas whispered against my hair.

My heart shattered at his words, I tried to pull away from him but he held me in place. "Where?" I asked.

"I don't know yet." I looked up at him to see him smiling. I could feel tears pulling in the corner of my eyes, why would he be smiling.

"I need you to get dressed and come run and errand with me." He said, standing me up. I stood in front of him moving, part of me wanted to slap him, how could he be acting so cool about this?

Lucas stood up and cupped my face in his hands and kissed me, hard.

When Lucas stopped kissing me, he led me back into his bedroom, while he got dressed I went into the bathroom to get a shower, when I was finished I wrapped a towel around myself and walked into the bedroom.

Lucas was picking up the rest of the rose petals, "I can do that." I said, pulling my spare change of clothes out of my bag.

"Your going to be pretty busy the next couple days, I got it."

"What?" I asked, confused.

"Never mind. Just get dressed, I got this."

I pulled a bra and underwear out, Lucas threw the wilting petals in the trash can and moved over to me. I pulled my underwear on under the towel then dropped it to put my bra on.

I stood facing away from Lucas, who was now touching my bare back, running his finger tips up and down my side.

"Stop." I laughed "that tickles." Lucas giggled, when I put the straps over my shoulders Lucas hooked it in the back.

I slid on a pair of skinny jeans and a tight long sleeve shirt with a tank top underneath, when we were both fully dressed we headed out the door.

When we were in the car, Lucas drove towards down town, he parked in front of the court house.

"Wait here, I'll just be a minute." Lucas said, pulling his seat belt off and climbing out of the car.

I stayed where I was, what were we doing here? And why did Lucas want to move? I couldn't move away from my family, if he moved far, this would be it for us.

I sighed and slumped down in the seat, watching the courthouse doors, waiting for Lucas to come out. I was trying to decided weather or not I should tell him that if he moved far, I couldn't be with him anymore.

When Lucas walked outside he came and got into the car, I looked at him, waiting for him to explain what he was doing.

Lucas looked away from me and put the car in drive. We stopped and got some breakfast then headed back to his house, he still hasn't mentioned why he had to go to the courthouse.
