When I woke up I was being lifted, I jumped when I felt the surface of that ever I was on leave me.
"Can you walk?" Mr. Haku asked me. I nodded my head, I was still pretty out of it, right now all I wanted to do was puke then go to sleep.
When we entered a hotel room Mr. Haku helped me inside.
"I'll be across the hall." He said, before he left me alone in the room. When he was gone I ran straight to the bathroom.
I puked until nothing else would come up, thankfully I didn't get any on my dress or in my hair. I opened the medicine cabinet and took out the complimentary tooth brush and toothpaste.
When my mouth was clean, I stumbled back into the hotel room and climbed up on the big, soft bed.
I kicked my heels off and covered myself up, it didn't take long for me to pass out.
The next morning when I woke up, my phone was vibrating in my purse, laying beside me on the bed. I took it out and seen that it was Lucas trying to call, I ignored it and slid the phone under the pillow.
When my phone beeped I took it out from under the pillow to put it on silent.
Where are you so I can come get you?
A text from Lucas lit the screen, I ignored it too and silenced the phone. When the hotel room door opened I sat up in the bed.
Mr. Haku walked in, holding a box, he handed it to me and smiled. On the top of the box the words "had fun last night, here's your donuts" were written. I smiled and sat the box aside.
"I'm so sorry about last night." I said, putting my face in my hands, remembering I had given this man a lap dance, what was I thinking? He had almost ruined me and Lucas.
Oh yeah, he's leaving you. Remember? My self conscious reminded me.
"So do you want me to take you home? Mr haku asked.
"No." I answered quickly. "If it's ok I would like to stay here for a few hours, I'm hungover." I lied, I just didn't want to have to go home, if Lucas was looking for me he would be watching my house.
"Okay, I'll be in the room next door." Mr. Haku walked through a door that joined our two rooms, when he closed the door I took my phone out.
I had a missed text from Abby and several missed calls from Lucas and Gabe.
I'm okay I'll be home later. I typed then added, was Lucas home last night?
No he went out to find you.
So Lucas was at the bar last night? And he seen me dancing with Aouli haku, a man that Lucas wasn't to fond of because of our past encounters.
But Lucas was going out of the country and being secretive with me.
I sighed and laid back in the bed, why would Lucas leave me, and possibly move away from me for god knows what reason? And why is he trying so hard to get ahold of me? I don't care, he's betraying me. He got a taste of his own medicine.
I herd a knock at the door.
"Come in." I yelled, I didn't feel like getting up ,I woke up with a headache and thinking about Lucas made it worse.
Aouli walked into the room with a glass of water, he walked over to the bed and sat down. He handed me two aspirin and the glass of water. I threw the pills into my mouth and chased them down with the water.
"You really should go home and change, unless your going to stay in this dress all day." Aouli said.
I didn't say anything, I didn't want to tell him the resin I didn't want to go home.
"I can drive you and bring you back here if you want." He added, I nodded my head and pushed the blanket off myself, I got up and put my heels on, I gathered up my things, Aouli opened the door for me, we walked out of the room and down the hallway.
"My car is still at the bar." I said, I had forgot that I even drove to the club last night.
"Okay." Aouli said, we got into the car and I gave him directions to my house.
When we pulled into my driveway I ran up to the door, I realized it was cracked open before I put the key in the lock. I hesitated to walk inside, Aouli got out of the car.
I turned my head back at him, then I slowly pushed the door open. The house was quiet. I walked to my bedroom and grabbed some clothes out of the closet.
I decided to just get a shower, I went outside and told Aouli he could come inside and wait in the living room.
I went back into my bedroom and shut the door, I made sure it was locked before I went in to get a shower.
When I was finished I dried and got dressed in the bathroom. I pulled my wet hair into a bun on the top of my head.
I opened my bedroom door and walked out into the kitchen, from there I could see Lucas standing in the living room, his arms crossed over his chest. Him and Aouli starred each other down.
My heart started beating faster and faster, seeing Lucas here made me mad. What reason did he have to be here if he was going to leave me.
I took a few steps back, bumping into the kitchen table, Lucas and Aouli looked at me. Lucas started towards me, Aouli stood up.
"You better sit the fuck back down!" Lucas snapped, he turned to Aouli.
To my surprise Aouli sat back down. Lucas walked to me, he was furious. When he reached me I flinched, he grabbed my arm and pulled me into my bedroom.
"Let go of me."
Lucas shut the door and let go of my arm.
"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be in London?"
"Not until tomorrow, what the hell are you doing with him!" Lucas yelled at me.
"It doesn't matter! Your leaving me!"
"And what makes you think that."
"You won't let me come with you! And your moving, I - why would you -" now my anger was replaced with sadness, the ball in my throat kept my words from coming out. I wanted to cry.
I sat down on the bed.
"you need to make him leave, Marie. Now."
I walked out to the living room and told Aouli to leave, it wasn't hard for me to do because I didn't feel anything for this man.
I walked back into my bedroom, I stood in the doorway facing Lucas.
"Now you need to leave." Tears streamed down my cheeks, I did nothing to hide the fact that I was crying.
