I was rushing around trying to gather the things I would need for the day. Resume, cell phone, wallet, and keys. I hurried out the door of my small home and rushed to my car. After I tried three times it finally started, I pulled out of the driveway and drove down the country road.

The address id had written down wasn't hard to find, when I turned off my road and continued onto another, the house was the first one on the right, it was huge, the exterior looked like some kind of fancy stone. It sat away from the road, surrounded by trees. Not another house around for a couple miles.

When I got out of my car I walked up the stone path to the beautiful French style doors and rang the bell. I stood there for almost two minutes before he answered.

"You here to be interviewed?" He asked in an annoyed voice.
"Yes,sir." I said clearly.
He opened the door wider so I could step inside, he shoved the door shut and walked past me, I stood frozen.
"Come on." He said, still sounding annoyed.

I followed him through his beautiful home. He led me up to the second story and down the hallway to his office. He motioned for me to take a seat.

"Okay, so let me explain what you will be doing, if your hired...one, you will be responsible for cooking and cleaning. Two, you will keep up with any errands I have and three you will keep all of my files neat and organized. Is that clear?" He said, his eyes glued to his cell phone.
"Yes,sir. I said, this time getting his attention.
"And be here at 8am."
His eyes widened, he looked me up and down again.
"Uhh- allow me to walk you out." He said.
While we walked he didn't take his eyes off me, he opened the door for me and didn't shut it until I was in my car.

When I got home, I went to my bedroom and pulled my clothes off and slipped on a pair of sweat pants and a tank top. I went to the kitchen to make myself a bowl of cereal. I walked to the living room and turned on the T.V. I wasn't paying attention to it. I turned to look out the window, there was a big black SUV sitting at the end of my driveway. I got off the couch and walked to the door, once it was locked I went and checked the back door.

When I looked out the window again it was still sitting, I dug through my purse for my pepper spray. I slipped on my flip flops and walked outside, slowly approaching the vehicle. I froze when I saw my new "boss" sitting there with the window down, looking through a folder with a bunch of papers in it.

"Can I help you with something?" I asked, he looked up at me as if he hadn't expected to see me here.
"I realized I never got your name, Mrs?"
"Miss Marie." I said, rolling my eyes
"Mmmhm-"
"Is that all?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.
He just rolled his window up and backed out of my driveway.
Once I got back inside the house I decided to get a shower and get ready for bed. I sat my alarm for 7:00 so I would have plenty of time to get ready in the morning.

I lay in bed for a while thinking about him, about why he would drive to my house just to ask my name.

When I finally woke up after the second time I'd hit my snooze button, I looked at the clock and seen it was nearly 7:30am.
I jumped out of bed and ran to my closet, I pulled out a pair of white Jenny jeans. A royal blue dress shirt and my black heel boots. I got dressed quickly and headed to work.
The drive only took me about 10 minutes, once I got to the house I walked up and knocked on the door, I could hear him shout for me to come inside.

I opened the door and crept inside, Mr. Miller was walking over to greet me by the time is closed the door behind me. I was surprised to see him dressed the way he was.
Only wearing a pair of flannel bed pants and socks, his dark brown hair ruffled, like he had just gotten out of bed, I also noted that his eyes were blue.

"I have an important meeting today, I want you to organize files and familiarize yourself with my home."
I nodded my head, I couldn't help my eyes trailing down his body. He turned and walked up the curved staircase.
"I'll be right back." He said.
I stood where I was, looking around at some things I hadn't noticed the first time I was here, family pictures and trophies sat on shelves hanging from the wall, when I looked up to study a painting hanging under the balcony of the second floor, he was standing there looking down at me. When our eyes met he turned away quickly and jogged down the steps.
"I should be back by 6:00, have dinner ready by then, I'm not picky."
I gave him a nod and went up to his home office and started organizing files, once everything was where it needed to be I shut all the cabinet drawers.

I went down to the kitchen, the clock on the stove said it was only 3:00, I walked around the first level of the house, making a mental map of what room was where. I hadn't killed much time so I looked in the kitchen cabinets and the pantry, I took some chicken out of the freezer and and some green beans and potatoes from the pantry, I placed the chicken in the refrigerator to thaw.
I went back to the rec room where an arcade style pac man game was set up.

The highest score belonged to lam witch I assumed was Mr. Miller, I played the game a lot on my phone so I was pretty good, for the next 2 hours I played, and beat his score.
When I went back to the kitchen, I started dinner.
Just as I took the chicken out of the oven Mr. Miller walked through the door.

"Smells good, thank you, Marie."
I smiled and filled a plate for him. When he sat down to eat I started cleaning up.
"Arnt you joining me?"
"Uhh, no, thank you."
He shot me a dirty look, I brushed it off and continued cleaning up.
"Have you organized my files?" He asked between bites.
"Yes, sir."
"You can go now." He brought his plate to the sink. "I'll finish cleaning up." He said as he put his hand out for the soapy sponge I was holding.
When I handed it to him his fingers locked over mine, I jerked my hand away and went to retrieve my purse. I was out the door in seconds.

When I got home I went to my room and changed into a silk victorious secret night dress. It was my favorite because it was so comfortable, the silk was light against my skin.
I sat down on the couch and starting dozing off, his face flooded my mind, honestly he was starting to creep me out.

If I hadn't needed the money I would have quit when he came to my house. It seemed very unprofessional and scary, what is he is a murderer or something.

I jumped up and made sure all the doors were locked and closed the curtains. I had no close neighbors, being out in the country, I went to my bedroom and locked the door.
