Alcina was stressed out from running around the diner taking endless orders. One particular family couldn't decide what they wanted to order for a whole ten minutes. The night was busy which was unusual for a Tuesday. To make it worse, there were only three waitresses on duty this night, doubling the work.

After all the bustle of running in and out of the kitchen, her shift was finally over. Her shift ended at 9:30. Alcina knew she overworked herself but she needed the money to take care of herself. She had to get home fast but she was hungry.

She bought a meal from a 24 hour drive through. There were no cars lining up for a meal this late, and the loneliness on the streets irked Alcina.

She ate as she walked, constantly glancing behind her. There was no one there anytime she looked. The streets were unusually lonely, except for a van that drove past her towards the direction she was coming. Alcina felt silly to have such fears and willed her mind to other things. Things like the punishment her stepmother had planned for her this night.

Streetlights flickered as she walked past a bar. One or two drunk men sat on the ground and loud music, unwelcoming to the ears, blared from speakers inside. Alcina quickened her pace

Just a few more turns and she would return to hell itself. Suddenly, her vision went dark. Someone had wrapped something around her head. She panicked.
She tried screaming but a hand was already on her mouth. She felt herself being hoisted up.

Oh no, this was the end for her, Alcina thought as she struggled on the shoulder of whoever was carrying her to God knows where. She kicked him in the loin and he let her go with a grunt.

"Stop struggling," her attacker cursed.

She yanked the sack on her head off, while the man groaned. But as she turned to run, he grabbed her ankles, making her fall face first to the sidewalk, with just enough time to shield her face from the impact with her hands. Alcina struggled against his hold on her waist as he lifted her again, ignoring the pain and bruises on her hands.

Her attacker walked to a black van, eyes widening as she recognised it as the van that drove past her a few streets back. The man threw her inside effortlessly, making her land on her rare. Alcina screamed, struggled and tried running out of the van. Another hand pulled her back and shut her up with a blow to the head.

Alcina woke up, expecting to find herself in a dark room, bound to a chair, but she woke up in soft sheets. Ignoring the mild headache which intensified by the second, she stood up, eager to look around. She placed her feet on the soft carpeting around the bed, twisting her feet on it several times before getting up.

She found a wardrobe and the bathroom behind a door. Alcina walked to the window to take a look and guess where she was, but all she was a very vast property with a barbed fence. There wasn't another building in sight.

Alcina jumped in fear as the door opened suddenly, and a short woman with greying hair came in holding a tray of food.

"Oh, you're up," she spoke with a thick Italian accent.

Alcina eyed her suspiciously. After all, she had been roughly abducted to this surprisingly comfortable room.

"Who are you?" Alcina asked.

"Elizabeth. I know who you are. Mr Moretti appointed me to be in charge of you. Clothes, food and any other thing you need."

"I'd like to know why I'm here," Alcina inquired ignoring Elizabeth.

"I'm not in a position to tell you that, Leonardo would let you know when he deems fit. I suggest you eat, take a shower and wait."

"Can you give me something to help with this headache?" Alcina asked, and Elizabeth nodded before leaving the room.

She came back with a basket of clothes for Alcina and urged her to eat.
With not much of a choice and with hunger gnawing at her, she ate and waited.
