Alcina paced the length of the room. It was happening. She was getting out of there, excitement and anxiety surged through her. She knew it wouldn't be easy, Giovanni's men would put up a hell of a resistance. Alcina wondered if Lucas and David would be there too.

She sat on the edge of the bed, contemplating if she should leave the room or wait like a damsel in distress. Alcina scrunched her nose at the thought. She wasn't definitely a damsel, that's for sure. Having made her decision, she changed into a comfortable pair of shorts and a shirt. Again, two sizes too small or was she two sizes too big?

Alcina shrugged the thought as she heard scuffling at the door. There was a grunt and the sickening sound of a face being punched. She scanned the room. A weapon, a weapon. She needed a weapon. Alcina had once read somewhere that anything can be used as a weapon, just depends on perspective. In a desperate attempt, she grabbed the lamp from the table ready to smash it on the guy's head.

She stood beside the door and watched as the door knob turned. The moment his head popped through she raised the lamp but his reflexes were too fast. After dodging the lamp, he knocked it out of her hand, only then did she recognise him.

"Valentino?". Alcina asked.

"You were going to hit me with a lamp?". He asked almost amused. She answered him with a hug. They weren't really close, but she was glad to see someone she knew.

"Here, strap this around your leg". He opened the bag he was holding and she did as she was told. He also brought out two guns, asking her to tuck one into the gun strap around her thigh. Valentino had dragged the unconscious body of the gaurd he was fighting into the room as she did this.

"Where are we going?". Alcina asked as she did so.

"We're going to meet Leonardo and the guys, they're at the back entrance. Let's just hope we get there without running into anyone". Valentino said. "Ready?"

She nodded and he opened the door to see if anyone was around. Grabbing a bunch of keys from the man on the ground, Valentino locked the room behind them.

"That should give them a while to notice you're gone". He said. "Come on"

They jogged down the corridor, guns ready and looking over their shoulders every now and then.
"Hey! Stop there!". A voice called behind them. Alcina's heart raced, she'd been hoping they wouldn't run into anyone. Valentino yanked her behind a corner, pinning her back to the wall. She took deep breaths.

He leaned against the wall and glanced around the corner. Raising his gun, he shot at the man and withdrew his head just as Alcina heard more gunshots. The bullets whizzed and chipped at the wall. They covered their faces to shield their eyes from the dust. Then the shooting stopped. Valentino took a peak.

"He's gone but not for long. He's gone to get more help. Let's go". He grabbed her hand and they ran again.

"How do you know your way around?". Alcina asked.

"I have a map". Valentino said as he stopped again. "This hallway is heavily guarded and it's our safest exit"

Alcina thought about it. If their safest exit was heavily guarded, she didn't want to know how the other exits were.

A gaurd ran past the other end and she quickly withdrew her head.
"We'll go slowly from here and keep your eyes peeled". He whispered. Keeping to the walls, they trailed down the corridor. As they stepped into the next corridor, they spotted a gaurd with his back turned to them. He was on the phone. Valentino turned to Alcina, pressing his finger to his lips before tucking his gun in his pants and then tiptoeing to the gaurd

In a flash, Valentino had his arm around the man's neck. He made the mistake of leaving the phone in the guys hand. Before he realised this, the gaurd was already alerting the other person. Valentino slapped it out of the guy's hand, loosening his grip on the man. Seizing the oppopportunity, the man gave him a sharp jab in the ribs and he recoiled, gripping his side.

As the enemy made to throw a punch, Valentino reacted immediately grabbing the man's fist and retaliating with a blow to the ribs. In a show of power, Valentino tried forcing him to the ground. Gripping his other fist, Valentino pushed. But the other man was bigger than him and Alcina knew Valentino didn't stand a chance, she had to do something.

In a desperate move, Valentino kicked the man's left and right legs bringing him to his knees but before he could draw his gun, the man had already drawn his. With a sick smile, he removed the safety.

"Hey!". They turned to stare at Alcina with a gun pointed at the man. Without a second to spare, she shot his thigh. He cried out in pain. Just then more men arrived, two on each side.

"Shit". Valentino cursed as he shot at the two on his side while Alcina did something similar to the others. The adrenaline flow in her made her giddy and light on her feet. Her eyes had the glint of excitement in them and the gun didn't feel foreign in her grasp.

She brought out the other gun as another wave of gaurds arrived. Without a moment to spare, Alcina shot and tried to avoid their bullets. During the blur, she had heard Valentino groan. She turned and ran to his side to find him clutching his leg. She pried his hand away, exposing a bloody bullet wound.

"Wrap my shirt around it". Valentino managed to say. Alcina nodded as she tore the bottom of his shirt out with shaky fingers and wrapped the wound. She rose to her feet as more men came. Steadying her aim, she shot at them.

Ditching the guns as she ran out of bullets, she kicked a man in the stomach. As he rose up, she threw a punch which had him staggering back. An arm drew her back and she turned just in time to dodge a blow from a bigger guy. Alcina attempted the same kick but he was faster. He caught her leg and flipped her on the ground, landing with an 'oof'. She rolled to aside to dodge a kick before getting up. The two men stood their ground and raised their arms and she followed suit.

Alcina sized them up, how was she going to defeat these two? She hadn't finished that train of thought when the first guy ran screaming towards her. She pushed his arm away and kicked the back of his knee. Alcina heard a crack before he fell, writhing in pain. The bigger guy cracked his knuckles and she shuddered.

Not deterred, she threw the first punch, which he dodged and retaliated with a blow to her mid section. The force knocked the wind put of her but she got ready to block the next one. Unfortunately, she couldn't block the next and he capitalised on it. In a flash he had her pressed to wall, bending her arm in an unnatural manner. She cried out as she desperately tried to escape his hold.

"That's enough"

A shiver ran down her spine as she heard the voice. Alcina turned to see Giovanni with more men and a bruised and bloody Lucas.

"The party's over". Giovanni said. "I'm tired of playing games with you"
