"I demand to see Leonardo right now Elizabeth!" Alcina shouted.
"Miss Bianchi, please keep your voice down. Mr Leonardo is in a meeting..."
"I don't care if he's with the president, I want to see him now. I'm tired of being kept in the dark. Its been three days already. You can't just kidnap someone and keep them in a room. For all I know you guys could be fattening me for some cult sacrifice!" Alcina yelled at Elizabeth.
Today was Friday and she had been here since Tuesday night, and seeing the four corners of a room everyday makes you a little frustrated and fed up and well...a little coo coo. Alcina vented this frustration on Elizabeth.
All she did was sleep, wake up, bath, eat, sleep, repeat. It was a boring routine. Sometimes she thought about her stepmother. Would she have told the police that her step daughter was missing? Surely she wasn't that heartless. Alcina thought of Kris and Jeff, those two would be missing her like hell.
"Just calm down Miss Bianchi. I'll..."
The door burst open. A tall and muscular blonde man Alcina hadn't seen before came into the room.
With an angry expression, he asked, "What's all the noise about? You two are bringing down the building."
Alcina wasn't letting this man get to her."Who are you?" Alcina asked still seething.
"I'm Julian. Please keep your voice down Miss..." Julian was interrupted by his phone's vibration. A new emotion crossed his face as he read it.
"Mr Moretti wants to see you now. Come with me," Julian said, motioning to the open door.
Alcina suddenly became nervous. She realized she wasn't ready to meet 'Mr Moretti'. What if she had just hastened her death? She walked slowly behind Julian. Her legs seemed to be failing her.
The decor of the building was elegant and modern, Alcina observed as they walked past doors which held mysteries on the other side.
Julian stopped and knocked on a set of double doors. A grunt came from the other side and he pushed the doors open. As Alcina walked in, she straightened her back and took slow breaths, trying to hid ever nervousness.
A man sat behind the table in a white shirt with a few buttons loose. Dark hair fell to his forehead, making his features seem hooded as he stared at the papers before him. His chest and arms told of exercise and activity.
Julian cleared his throat in a forcefully exaggerated manner. "Here she is," Julian said, announcing their presence, although it was clear he knew they were in his study.
A pair of striking blue eyes looked up at her, a frightening contrast to her brown ones. Alcina cast her eyes down, involuntarily.
"You may go Julian," he said, as he flicked his hand. Julian responded with a nod and Alcina wished he would stay because he didn't seem as intimidating as this dark haired man. Power, authority and high-handedness, hovered about him, clinging unto the seams of his shirt and down to the beads of sweat on his forehead.
"Are you going to talk or are you going to stare at me all day?" He kept his gaze down on the sheet of paper in his hands, not bothering to look at her as he spoke.
"I thought you were in a meeting?" Alcina asked.
"You were screaming you wanted to see me, now tell me what you want I'm a busy man," he said after a lengthy sigh.
Alcina frowned. How dare he talk to her like that after abducting her?
She crossed her arms."Well. I'd like to know who you are, where I am and why I'm here," she said, in a sad attempt to sound firm.
He looked up at her lazily. "I'm Leonardo. I'll tell you more later, I'm busy now."
"What is this? Some government undercover agency? I've been here for three days. I think I have a right to know why I'm here," Alcina argued.
Leonardo relaxed in his chair, resting his head back. He sighed and stood up slowly, walking to Alcina. She didn't realise how huge he was, sitting, until he stood before her. She was about as tall as the average girl, but barely went past his shoulders. Alcina willed her eyes to look at his, unwavering.
"Its about your father."

Her ten year old self ran into the sitting room and jumped into his lap.
"Daddy, daddy, let's watch TV," she said smiling. He kissed her forehead, returning the smile.
"Really, what do you want to watch muffin? Your stepmother is out with your sisters, we have the house all to ourselves."
"Disney fairies and Dora the explorer and Barney and..."
"All that?" he asked with fake horror. "Can you handle all that? Besides they might be showing all right now. How about we watch only Barney?"
"Yay!" she shouted bouncing on his lap. "I'll go get snacks and drinks," Alcina said, running off to the kitchen.
"Don't run in the house muffin."
As she opened the refrigerator to get the drinks, she heard the front door open. She assumed her father had gone to get stuff from the car. She put everything in a tray.
The contents of the tray fell to the floor as she walked into the room to find a gun pointed at her father's head.
He was on his knees with two men standing beside him."Fight me like a man, Piero. Fight fair," her father said, not an ounce of fear in his voice. The man without the gun laughed, throwing his head back.
"Nothing in this business is fair, Bianchi. If you step on the wrong toes, you have to pay. If you make a smudge in Italian shoes, you replace them. I don't have time to waste." He gestured to the other man.
The man with the gun whispered to her father, who turned to Alcina with misty eyes. He gave her a sad smile and mouthed the words 'I love you'. A lone tear he had been fighting back fell. Just as the man was about to pull the trigger, Alcina screamed.
"Stop!"
Their gazes fell on her."Now, what have we here?" the man she'd come to know as Piero asked as he walked towards her. Alcina felt little, like a bug that he could easily squash, next to his big frame. "Trying to play hero, are we? See, daddy did something he has to pay for. But there's no other way I can get retribution."
He grabbed her arms roughly, and dragged her into the closet, slamming the door forcefully.
Retribution....Retribution... Alcina didn't know what it meant, but she kept saying it over and over. Even as the three gunshots rang through the house, invading the silent neighbourhood, she kept muttering the words.
She heard their footsteps, and then the door, as it opened and closed. Alcina was alone with a dead body, tears clouded her eyes, but they never dropped. The police found her there hours later, when her stepmother came back. She didn't shed a tear.
