Alcina was early to school. Since the school was far from where she lived, the walk took her about thirty minutes, it was 7:43 now. She saw students hanging around different spots in the parking lot. Most students here had cars, but Alcina didn't.

She approached her best friend, Kristina, who was hanging around her brother and his group of friends. Her face lit up as she saw Alcina. As they hugged, Alcina caught a whiff of Kris' body wash and extended their hug by another second.

"Hey Kris," Alcina said returning her smile, as she pulled put of the hug.

"What's up?" Kris asked.

"The usual. You know running to school in the morning to avoid making your witch step mother breakfast. No biggie," Alcina said and her friend gave her a sad smile.

"So what's with them?" Alcina asked leaning on a car and gesturing to Lisa throwing herself all over Kristina's brother.

Kris shrugged. "Beats me. I don't know why Austin doesn't push her away, she's such a slut."

"Come on, I don't think I can watch anymore of this leeching. She's basically sucking out his life force," she said causing Alcina to chuckle.

"Well, well. Hello Alcina," a familiar annoying high pitched voice said. Lisa and her posse were blocking their path.

"Oh are you done face sucking?"Kris said causing Lisa to smile.

"Jealous much?" Lisa spat back.

"Ooo cat fight," Troy, a friend of Austin's said.

Kris glared at him. "What? Ew, no. He's my brother dummy, why would I be jealous?"

"What do you want Lisa?" Alcina asked crossing her arms.

"I saw you looking at Austin. Stay away from him, he's mine," Lisa snarled.

"Damn, someone has issues", Kris muttered. Alcina glanced at Austin, the idiot seemed to be enjoying the show. She was going to give him a show alright.

"Shouldn't you be serving your step sisters right now?" Lisa quipped.

Alcina narrowed her eyes, who did she think she was. "Don't talk about me that way. Ever"

"Triggered," Lisa whispered to he posse and they snickered and squeaked like rats. "Or what?"

Alcina just shook her head. "Why don't you check yourself first? You definitely seem like you have issues, like your friends and the number of guys you hook up with define your life. Let's go Kris, no sense wasting our breath on b*tches," she said, gritting her teeth.

The entire parking lot was silent at Alcina's response. Lisa eye balled her one last time before Alcina turned to leave.

"You got em good!" Kristina squealed as they entered the building.

"I know," Alcina said smirking.

"Alcina! You brat!"

Alcina sighed again. Why did everyone want her in a bad mood today? She turned around to see the evil lazy twins glaring at her.

"What now?" she asked, annoyed.

"You are so dead! Mom is going to kill you! Such nerve!" Jane screamed.

They were all in the hallway and Jane's screaming was attracting unwanted attention.

"Ey, ey. Keep your voice down, we're in public. Jeez," Kris said blankly.
The twins ignored her, still glaring daggers at Alcina.

"When you two demons get home, tell her this. I make breakfast for who I want to make it for and when I want to make it. Let's go Kris," she turned around leaving the dumbfounded twins to themselves.

"Oh, and quote me when you tell her!" Alcina yelled at them.

"Wow Alcina. Where'd all this boldness come from?" Kris asked, shaking her head still smiling at what just happened.

"Living with her most of my life makes me used to it. I'm just fed up," Alcina shrugs.

"Just remember, anytime you need help in a** whooping, I'll be there," Kris said giving her a comforting pat on the back. Alcina shook her head chuckling. Poor Kris couldn't hurt a fly.

"You? Whoop ass? Please, you couldn't hurt a fly," Alcina said, waving her off.

"I'm pretty tough,"

"Yeah, I'm terrified. You're all bark and no bite,"Alcina said. "You wouldn't last an hour with my step mom."

"Yea whatever Alcina, let's get to class. Mrs Higgins always acts like her panties are in a bunch on Tuesdays, I don't want to be late. And don't forget her unconditional hatred for me. Now move you butt," Kris said nudging Alcina. Alcina chuckled and they pick up their pace to class.

Only a few students were in the class. The two stay in the row before the last. Lisa walks in with her posse, all with glares directed at Alcina and Kris.

"I think you just made new friends, Alcina," Jeff her other friend says as he took his seat in front of them. Alcina rolled her eyes at this. She didn't want any trouble after all Lisa had started it.

Mrs Higgins came in, and went on about noise making for ten minutes, when no one was actually saying anything. Alcina sat through the class under Lisa's cold stare. Wasn't she here to learn too? The rest of the day went on in a similar manner, but Kristina was in most of her classes -except biology- so that helped.

At the end of the school day, Alcina bade Kris goodbye and set off to the restaurant she worked. The money she earned was mostly used for clothes and her general upkeep

Her shift started by 4 and this was 2: 48. Alcina decided to eat lunch at a nearby restaurant and then head to the library to get a head start with her homework.
Work that afternoon was slow with only a few customers. But there was a rush of hungry patrons in the evening. Alcina was ran around the diner, feeling like she was in some sort of diner dash game. She knew she was going to be late, but she was too tired to worry about her stepmother. There was work to do.
