~6~Jealous Much?

Leonardo listened as Julian filled him in on the stirring among gangs under their control. The boys were always for more, despite their dominance in several territories.

"Are you even listening to me?" Julian asked. Leonardo nodded and Julian sighed. "If I were you, I'd take this seriously. If there's any tension our enemies might use it against us and the last thing we need right now are people fighting us from inside the family."

"Relax, Julian," Leonardo said as he rose from his chair and moved to the window. "You're making a mountain out of an anthill. Just find out what they really want. If it's more territory, they should earn it: If it's more dough, they should try to complete a task for once. I'm tired of wasting money on them."

As Leonardo spoke, he watched as a car drove around the semi-circular roundabout in front of the building, stopping at the main entrance. Long, slender legs stepped out of the vehicle and Leonardo didn't need to see her face to know who those legs belonged to.

"I see Elena dropped by," Julian said beside him. Leonardo sighed as he led the way out of his office, just as Lucas came to announce her presence.

Alcina spent the whole day in her room. She was getting used to the routine. After the revelations Leonardo made few days back, she hadn't found it in her to disturb him anymore. She was settled to being fattened and given new clothes everyday, she was actually beginning to like this new life. It was about 3 PM and all she had to do was stare out the window.

"Miss Bianchi?" Alcina looked up from the window as Elizabeth spoke.

"Hmm?"

"Mr Moretti wants you to meet someone," Elizabeth said.

Alcina was puzzled as to who could he possibly want her to meet. She glanced at the mirror making sure she looked presentable. Elizabeth led her out of the room. Making her way out of the room,she caught sight of Leonardo walking side by side with a slender brunette. She was curvy and beautiful, and Alcina stared at the two longer than necessary.

"Come this way," Elizabeth said, leading her down the same path Leonardo and the brunette had taken. She was ushered into a room, Leonardo and the beauty were both seated in cream coloured couchs laughing, though Leonardo's smile seemed fake. His face lit up as she walked in and the brunette seemed to notice it.

"Ah, she's here. Elena, Alcina. Alcina meet Elena."

"Hi," Alcina gave a small wave with a thin smile. Elena had a similar smile glued to her face.

"Elena here is the daughter of one of my father's many associates. She's going to help us," Leonardo told Alcina. "Elena, as you know already, there's a meet and greet being organised tonight to cool the tension between us and our rivals," he stated.

"Yes, I heard Giovanni would be there along with other key players in the business," Elena said as Alcina kept looking between the two, feeling out of the loop.

"What business are you two talking about?" She blurted out suddenly.

Elena gave Leonardo a look that screamed you-haven't-told-her-yet?
"I was getting to that Alcina, that's why I called you here. I run a mafia. The Moretti Mafia," he said.

"Okay, slow down. Like the Italian Mafia?" She asked and he nodded. "If this is a joke, stop because it's a very sick one. You can't drop a bombshell like that on a girl, telling her that her father was in the mafia and treat it like bubblegum."

"I'm serious. Do I look like someone who would joke about that sort of thing? It's better you know what you're dealing with. Those men who went after your father are very dangerous and can do much worse," Leonardo said. Alcina shook her head, thinking about how horrible he was at breaking news.

"As I was saying, I want you two to escort me to the party. Hopefully, he doesn't recognise Alcina because she's going to be playing a major role tonight," Leonardo said.

Alcina wrinkled her brows. "What role?"

"I need you to flirt with Giovanni and get close to him to swipe a flash drive from him. That drive contains vital data, which if shown to the feds will put Giovanni in a lot of trouble."

"So I'm supposed to seduces the man who killed my father?" Alcina asked before muttering. "Wow, brilliant plan."

"There's nothing risky about it," Leonardo argued. "Giovanni may or may not know who you are."

"I'm not betting my life on may or may not," Alcina argued back.

"Look, there'll be back up if anything goes wrong. Elizabeth will have you ready before 7, that's when we'll leave."

"Leonardo, I can easily do this task better then her without any errors," Elena said.

"Yes, you can, but Giovanni knows you. Alcina will you do it?" Leonardo asked.

She nodded, "I will as long as it's one step forward in taking him down."

"So we'll be seeing you in a few hours, Elizabeth will help you get ready," Leonardo said.

Alcina left them and Elizabeth led her back to her room. A few hours later, Elizabethran around trying to fit her into a gown which she could hardly breathe in. A woman, Bianca in her early twenties did her makeup and hair.

Julian came into the room to inform Alcina that Leonardo would be leaving in a few minutes. Alcina packed her important stuff into a purse and trailed behind Julian down stairs to a lobby. Her heels clicked on the tile in the silent room.

Ignoring the look on Leonardo's face, she slid into the seat of the waiting limo. Elena came out a few minutes later and sat beside Alcina. She watched as Elena loaded her gun with bullets before placing it in her purse.
Alcina swallowed.
