"Could you walk faster?". Alcina turned to glare at the nut job who was leading her into the Ricci house. He kept prodding her back with his gun and if he had gone any lower, she had sworn to jump him.
"Well smart ass, if you walked ahead of me, we could be faster. Because I have no clue where the hell I'm supposed to be going". She gritted her teeth as she spoke.
Giovanni had decided it was a better business decision to keep her under maximum security and where else than his lair. Her chances of ever escaping or getting rescued were slim.
With the guy walking ahead of her now, she followed glumly. Trying anything funny was like shaking a beehive. Alcina was smarter than that.
"You will be staying here till further notice". He said as she entered the room with him. The room was pretty bare. A single window, a table and a chair. There was a bathroom and there was the comfort of a bed.
After he left, Alcina decided to take a shower. She hadn't had one since the club incident and that was three days ago. Done with all the scrubbing, she found jeans and a top in the wardrobe, but the top seemed two sizes too small. After struggling to get it to stay at a respectable length she gave up.
It felt like deja vu as Alcina sat on the bed but she knew better than to throw tantrums as a captive on enemy territory. So she surrendered to her fate and eventually fell asleep.

A few days later a man came in telling her to get dressed that she was going out. Without argument, she did as she was told. After putting on the only dress in the wardrobe, she walked put of the room and wandered around aimlessly. The building was similar to Leonardo's."You! Where are you going?". She whipped her head at the sound of the voice.
"I was told to dress up". Alcina replied shakily to he man as he glared at her.
"So?"
"I was looking for Giovanni".
Angrily, he grabbed her hand and dragged her along as he walked down the hall.
"You should be lucky the the guys didn't find you dressed like that". He muttered as he eyed Alcina's dressing. She contiously glanced at it too. It was just a gown, which like other clothes in that room was two sizes too small for her. Shoving her into a room he closed the door and left. Alcina struggled with her sight as her eyes adjusted to the darkness. She eventually spotted a figure in a chair behind the desk.
"Where are we going?". Alcina asked Giovanni.
"Sit. I'll be back". He said and left her staring at a door she hadn't noticed.
Sitting down now, she studied the room. Different paintings decorated the walls, but what caught her eye was an unnatural puff in a certain region. Secret safe perhaps, Alcina wondered.
"Take this". Giovanni said as he returned, giving her a purse. She opened the purse and brought out a gun, it was loaded.
"You're giving me a gun?". She asked confused. "What if I tried to kill you?"
He laughed. "Trust me, you won't. And besides it would be helpful where we're going"
"Really?". Alcina asked as she removed the safety and pointed it at his head. Whatever amusement was there disappeared and several emotions crossed her mind. Anger, sadness, rage, will to revenge. Alcina expected fear in his face, but she got nothing but a cold stare.
"Try it and see if you make it past that door". He dared her through clenched teeth.
She brought her hand down slowly. Revenge could wait.
"I thought as much". He said as he straightened his suit jacket and sauntered past her.
"Put that thing away and come with me. I'm putting you on display tonight".Confused, she followed him. He led her outside, arm in arm, to a garden with chairs and tables. It was dark and strategically paced lights casted shadows on the faces of waiters and guests as they walked around. All eyes seemed to turn to them before they zeroed in on Alcina's arm tucked in Giovanni's. Some of them seemed pleased to see him with her, some women jealous but Alcina shuddered at the thought of being with someone as repulsive as this.
A group of men came over to them, eyes raking over her body before acknowledging Giovanni. Alcina finally understood what he meant by 'putting her on display'. He might have as well put her in a show glass for Leonardo to see. He wasn't in attendance, but word gets around."Let's sit shall we?". Giovanni asked looking amused. Alcina gave him a tight-lipped smile.
"You're so lucky we're not alone". She hissed as they walked to a chair.
"Getting dirty now are we? I'll have to teach you to show some respect. Can't have you blabbing now can we?". He tells her. She grimaces and turns to focus on the guests.
"Business partners?". Alcina asked Giovanni after a while.
"Yes. And a surprise for you".
Alcina raised a brow at him. Surprise? It wasn't until later on in the night when most guests had left that she understood what he meant.
"Julian?". She asked not believing her eyes as he approached the table. "What are you doing here?"
Julian sat at their table before talking. "I didn't want to miss a good party?"
"You're betraying Leonardo?" Alcina asked.
"Yes my dear. I'm tired if him pushing me around, Julian do this, Julian do that. Always doing his dirty work. Which is why I want to become the next godfather. That way, the Moretti's and the Ricci's will be at peace. How do you think Giovanni knew it was you that day?"
Alcina thought about, she had changed significantly since her father's death and people from then hardly recognised her now. So the possibility of Giovanni recognising at that She put two and two together.
"I knew he wasn't really that smart". She muttered under her breath."I'm loving this reunion. What about you Alcina?". Giovanni asked as he sipped wine.
"Where is that witch you're dating?". Alcina asked as she glared at the table, Leonardo had no idea that someone he trusted so much was betraying him right now.
"Watch your mouth!". Giovanni warned and her mind flashed back to his slap in the warehouse. She gulped.
"What's new Julian?". He asked as he turned away from her."Well Leonardo has been plotting on getting her back". Julian said as he cast a glance to Alcina. "He intends to infiltrate the building and apparently has someone helping from the inside"
After a pause he continued, "That little stunt you pulled with the Chinese is going to be the death of us. They've formed an alliance with Leonardo because you're a common enemy""Don't be so paranoid Julian. With you on my side, I'll always be ahead of that boy. He won't know what hit him until it's too late".
Giovanni said as a waiter approached with more drinks. I noticed he walked at an awkward angle and kept his hand underneath his apron. He hesitated before dropping the drinks and while Julian and Giovanni kept talking, I noticed them glancing at him. I opened my purse.
In lightning speed, the waiter brought out his gun just as soon as I brought out mine, staring at him in the eye. It happened so fast I didn't notice until Giovanni spoke.
"Drop the gun". He said slowly. Julian and Giovanni also had their guns pointed at the waiter. It was three to one, he definitely wasn't that stupid.Defeatedly, he lowered his gun and a gaurd tackled him to the ground.
"Take him inside. I think we may have found a snitch".* * * * *
