Rick is the cutest, it's too much😩

After being friends for years, Rick finally decided it was time to make a move. He'd been crazy about you for entirely too long and he was tired of pretending you were just a friend.

"Hello?" You said as you answered your phone.

"(Y/n), hey it's me," Rick said as nervous excitement filled him at the sound of your voice on the other end.

"Miss me already?" You teased and you could practically feel him blushing already.

"Just a bit," he said with a smile gracing his face, "I was wondering if you'd be up for something tonight?"

You lit up immediately, "I was hoping you'd ask, what do you have in mind?"

"It's actually a surprise, hope you don't mind," he said, laughing along when you giggled.

"Alright, I'll play along."

He picked you up that evening and you sat in the passenger seat while he drove you to the other side of town.

"Can you tell me now?" You begged as you tried to guess off of your surroundings.

"I can't tell you what it is, but I guarantee you'll love it," he said with a smirk as he kept his eyes on the road, trying to ignore the puppy eyes you were giving him, "we're nearly there now anyway."

You looked in front of you to see where he was pulling up to. It was a beautiful wall filled with various paintings and artwork by people from all over. Spray paint and paintbrushes laid all over the ground near it, open for use to anyone who wanted to add to the piece. Being a huge fan of art, you were immediately overjoyed.

You turned to Rick excitedly, "Is this-?"

"Yes, this is it," he replied, happy to see how excited you were already.

You jumped out of the car and ran over, immediately grabbing a paintbrush to brush it over the smooth surface of the wall.

"Are we supposed to paint something specific?" You asked Rick, who was standing next to you now, surveying the various artworks in front of him.

"Dreams, wishes, I suppose that's what most people put on it, but really you can paint anything you like," he said as he picked up a brush of his own.

"I like that," you said as you tried to think of what you'd write.

Rick had no problem coming up with something and carefully began to drag the brush all the wall while you started on yours as well. You were both silent as you painted, until you noticed he'd already finished.

"What did you write?" You asked.

He looked down at his feet shyly as he said softly, "Just a dream of mine."

You moved closer to him, "May I see?"

And when you looked up at the spot where he'd written you saw he had simply left your name there. You looked back at him to meet his eyes, which looked nervous now.

"Me?"

He nodded.

You looked back at it and smiled, "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

When you looked over at him again a smile was spreading across his face. He ran over to embrace you, meeting your lips with joy as he finally got to feel you against him.
