Roger Waters #15

You sat on a bench legs crossed reading your favorite book while you waited for Roger to finish up a class. You kept to yourself for the most part as you often felt you didn't really fit in with most of the students here.
You turned the page, smiling to yourself as you read the carefully typed lines.

"Hey, what are you laughing at, huh?" An all too familiar voice asked in an annoying tone.
You looked up to see one of your least favorite people standing there, sneering as she looked back at you.

"You know, I worry about the person who lets you leave the house looking like that," she said with a scoff.

You looked down at your bell bottom jeans and frowned, which only fueled her fire. She let out a high pitch laugh.

"You know, what's your problem with me?"
You asked, shutting your book and standing up to her. You were almost a foot and a half taller than her, but she didn't seemed phased by the significant height difference.

"Something about your general existence, that's all," she spat back.

"I think her 'general existence' is lovely," a voice you were glad to hear chimed in.

Roger wrapped his arm around you and smiled at your relieved expression.

"Why don't you pick on someone your own size for once, it's probably a better idea," he said, waving her away.

She stood there, clearly trying to form a comeback, but seemed unable.

Roger laughed, "Precisely. Good day."

He guided you away, letting his hand wander to yours to hold it.

"Thanks," you said softly.

He looked over at you, smiling at your natural glow in the sunlight.

"Hey," he said stopping you and lifting your chin up, "you know I meant that right?"

"Meant what?"

"I think you're lovely," he said softly.

You blushed and looked down, which made him smile. He gently pressed a kiss to your forehead, which made your stomach twist with happiness.
