"Alright, I've got one, if you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment, where would you go?" David asked after he set his drink down on the table.
You were finally getting to spend time with him, your favorite person, now that he was back from a tour. You both sat on your balcony, drinking the night away and asking each other as many questions as possible.
"Hmm," you began while a smile pulled at your lips.
David watched you curiously as you looked up at the sky, studying each star with extreme interest. You slowly started to nod your head as you thought.
"Rome," you said plainly.
"Why Rome?" He asked quickly.
You looked back at him to see his head rested in his hands as he gazed back at you. You blushed a bit as his eyes burned into yours with that intense stare of his. You shrugged and let out a laugh.
"I think it's something about stars, they make me think of Rome," you said softly.
A smile grew on his face, "You're blushing," he stated.
"I am most certainly not," you said, blushing even more.
David shook his head and took another sip of his drink, "You can deny it all you want, (y/n), but you are terrible at hiding it."
"Oh, hush," you said, with a laugh, "it's my balcony, I can blush if I want."
"So you were?" He asked.
Your eyes met his again, but he wasn't smirking like you had expected. You felt butterflies as his eyes subtly flickered to your lips and back up again.
"I suppose I was," you said quietly as you focused on him more now.
There was a silence in which you felt tension building between the both of you. He leaned towards you, his eyes glancing up as if to make sure it was okay. You felt nervous, but you didn't move, you wanted him closer.
"You know," he started in a low voice, "you never asked me a question."
"If you could do anything right now, what is it you'd do?" You whispered as he got even closer.
He let out a soft laugh, "Well," and then he pressed his lips to yours.
You sat very still, not wanting to focus on any other movement or sensation other than the one he was giving you. His lips were soft and warm against yours in the cool night air, and you felt your heart quicken as he reached for your hand so he could pull you over to him as he stood up. He rested his hands on your waist as you let your arms drape around his neck. You felt him smile against you before he pulled away, his eyes running over your face with a smile on his lips.
"I hope that was alright, I've been dying to do that," he said with a shy laugh.
You smiled, "Believe me, we're on the same page," you said with a wink.
He shook his head and laughed before he pressed his lips to yours again.
