"(Y/n), come over here, I wanna show this tune I came up with," Roger said as he motioned for you to come over to him.

He smirked as he watched you roll your eyes, "You're such a show off, Rog," you teased.

"It's my job," he said with a wink.

You plopped down in the seat next to him on the couch. Nick had invited you to a jam session of theirs and you were loving every second of it. These boys were crazy talented and you knew you were quite lucky to be able to be around them so often.

"So, it goes like this," Roger said as he began to strum the tune for a new song.

He quietly began to sing, glancing up at you every now and then with a smile.
You felt your face heat up as you realized he was flirting with you quite a bit. Meanwhile, Nick sat across the room sulking.

"What's that look for?" Rick when he looked up from his keyboard to see Nick glaring at Roger.

Nick shook his head and looked at Rick as if he had no idea what he was talking about, "What look? I'm perfectly fine."

Rick let out a laugh, "Nick, you're a terrible liar."

He sighed and fiddled with his drum sticks.

"Spit it out," Rick said.

"Alright, alright, it's that," he said pointing at you and Roger, "that's what's wrong."

Rick looked over, confused for a moment, but then an amused smile spread across his face.

He turned back to Nick and folded his arms, "I see, you've got a bit of a crush, don't you."

"Shut up," Nick mumbled, looking away to hide the fact that he was blushing, "she'll hear you."

"She needs to! Look, I'll distract Roger, then you go over and talk to her," Rick said excitedly.

"No, no, no, he's already got her, look at her, all smiley," he said as he nodded to you.

Rick rolled his eyes, "I'll bet you could make her smile twice as much as Waters can."

Nick smiled, "You think so?"

"I know so," he said before he walked over and tapper on Roger's shoulder, "I need your opinion on the keyboard riff I've come up with, do you have a moment?"

Roger nodded and stood up, leaving you alone. Rick looked at Nick with a 'get over there' expression. Nick jumped up and nervously made his way towards you.

"Hey," he said shyly as you smiled up at him, "can I talk to you for a moment, maybe outside?"

You nodded and sat up to follow him out.

"What's up, Nick?" You asked as you leaned against the wall of the studio.

He shoved his hands in his pockets and tried to think of what to say, but he was having trouble getting words out.

"Nick?" You said with a little giggle.

"I uhm," he said and then cleared his throat, "I wanted to, well you see, I saw you with Roger and I- I don't know."

You stood there with a confused expression on your face as you waited for him to speak again.

He let out a frustrated sigh and then continued, "It's just that I- that's what I want."

"What do you mean?"

His eyes flickered up to meet yours, they were rather serious and it sent butterflies flying in your stomach, "I mean that I want to make you smile like that, like he did. I want to make you laugh and make you happy."

"You do?" You asked as a smile grew on your face.

He nodded, his eyes staying with yours.
You blushed, "Well, why didn't you tell me sooner?"

He felt his heart fill with joy before he leaned forward and pressed his lips to yours. You happily wrapped your arms around his neck as he gently pushed you back against the wall, sighing as his hands rested on your waist.

"Hey, Nick- oh," He heard Rick say.

Rick smirked, "You know what, it can wait," he said as he slowly shut the door to let you two be.
