"David, what do you think will happen to us when you leave?"
He turned his head to face you, smiling when he saw your chin resting in your hands as you looked up at him.
He reached out a brushed a strand of hair behind your ear and let his fingers linger on your cheek, "What do you mean, love?"
"I mean, well," you stopped, unsure of how to put it, "I don't know."
Your eyes dropped as you bit your lip and tried not to look sad. He was leaving for a tour in less than a week and your mind was racing with fear. You heard him shift towards you.
"Hey," he said softly.
When you looked up you saw he was lying on his stomach and his face was only inches from yours, "What's on your mind, darling, you can tell me."
A small smile tugged at your lips as his blue eyes looked over you, "I guess I'm just scared of you leaving."
His brow furrowed as he listened and you let out a sigh.
"I mean, there are going to be lots of distractions, parties, girls, and I don't think I'll be able to compete-"
He took your face in his hands and looked intently into your eyes, making you blush, "(y/n)," he said softly.
"Yes?" You whispered back.
"None of those things will ever be able to replace you," he said, smiling when he saw your expression soften, "they won't make me laugh like you do, give me joy like you do and they simply won't be you. And all I want is you. Therefore, you have nothing to be scared of. I'll always come home to you."
You felt your stomach fill with butterflies as his words filled your ears. You pressed your lips firmly to his, making him smile against you as he happily kissed back.
You giggled against his lips, "I love you, David."
"I love you too, silly girl."
