I gobble down the third serving of the fruit salad my mum has made and rush upstairs to pack some last minute objects. Mosquito repellent, sunscreen, flashlight and those little toothbrushes that fit between my braces. I text Nutmeg an excited message with a heap of exclamation marks and smiley faces. Nutmeg has been my best friend since grade 5 and I would do anything for her. Her parents are singers which I think is awesome, her not so much. Nutmeg is different to the other girls at school. Instead of blonde curly hair and tight crop shirts she wears heavy black eyeliner, necklaces with black crosses on them even though she has no interest in Christianity and a mixture of black and violet clothing. She has dyed her hair various colours throughout the last few years. At the moment it's a nice shade of pale orange. All of the strange things that she does at night and all of the crazy boyfriends that she has had. Honestly, she was dating at the age of 10. The last one had a pig as a pet and trained hunting birds. As always, this guy eventually broke her heart so she has been single for a couple of months now. I sit down and brush my hair in front of the three panelled mirror. I can't wait for camp.

I hope you guys are enjoying this. I will upload tomorrow because it was such a short chapter.
