I find it strange how calm I am. Hanna is in hospital, should I be freaking out.

I walk around the almost empty car park, thinking about the night sky, listening to the sirens of new Ambulances docking in at the Hospital.

There is a far of noise of boys talking and running around. I used to be one of those boys but I feel different now. My heart no longer stops when I see a shopping cart abandoned or if I am with my friends. I no longer want to go into dark parks with older guys, girls on their laps.

I always wanted to impress my friends, I wanted them to see who I really was but they never caught on. My few obsessions were rebelling, girls and being the best.

Alcohol was my saviour in my hardest moments but now it brings me down.

But my emotions have changed, I don't light up inside when I see a girl walk past.

I continue to walk through the car park, looking at my feet, watching out for stray pieces of litter or car fuel. My ears prick up at an agitated whisper.

"This isn't what we were supposed to do!"

"How was I supposed to know, I wanted to do damage. It wasn't my fault that the girl ran into the smoke."

This was something I didn't want to get involved in. I don't even like Hanna, why am I sticking up for her. I run back into the Hospital dodging wheelchairs, stretcher beds, food trays, people and patients.

My eyes cloud over as the words play over and over in my head.

"The girl ran into the smoke".

Was it Hanna they were talking about?

Who were these people?

Hanna must know something!

I was jerked back to reality as I crashed into someone at full force, knocking them to the ground. I shook my aching head and looked down at my victim.

His glasses are slightly askew and his hair is ruffled in an adorable way. I start to look him in the eyes. He looks me up and down and blinks.

I suddenly realise that going around tackling people to the ground is not an everyday activity. I jump off of him and help him up. When our hands touch a bolt of electricity runs up my arm and straight to my chest. I almost drop him from the shock.

He straightens his glasses and pats down his hair and I immediately recognise him as Felix. My face flushes red and I start to mumble an apology but he just touches my arm, another electrical current, and tells me to not worry.

I completely forget about the mysterious people in the carpark and Hanna's situation.

I am by his side for the rest of the day and I don't want to leave him.
