FORGIVENESS AND TRUST

Angie

One Week Later...

"Are you stupid?!" Savannah says as she sits next to me on the couch in my living room.

It's a Saturday morning and she slept over last night. It only took me this morning to have the courage to tell her what happened between me and Harry.

"So fucking stupid." She rubs her temples and scowls at me.

"How am I being stupid?"

"It seems like you can't even trust your own boyfriend!" She defends Harry,

"I do!"

"Then why'd you go ape shit when he was explaining himself? God, Angie. You're so difficult." She whines and then hits me on the shoulder.

"You didn't have to punch!"

"Well, I punch stupid people. You're one of them."

"Jeez, thanks for the love, you whore." I roll my eyes and slump on the couch.

Deep down inside, I know she's right. It was wrong of me to say those things to Harry. I was overwhelmed that time. I had all these confusing feelings and I couldn't think straight. A part of me thought it was rude and inconsiderate that I ignored him for the entire week. After that one Hendall news, they never popped up again.

"Call him!" Savannah says as she tosses my phone and it lands on my stomach.

"Fuck..." I wince in pain and dial Harry's number.

"You deserve that, you inconsiderate bitch."

"Savannah, you know your words hurt."

"Yeah well, I say shit like this when my friend, no no erase that—when my best friend doesn't listen to me!" She storms off to the kitchen maybe to get more food.

I get up and head to my backyard to call Harry. The phone begins to ring,

"Please pick up." I whisper to myself.

Five rings later, Harry finally picks up.

"Hello? Who's this?" He says in a groggy voice, didn't he check the caller ID?

"It's Angie."

"Oh," He says and then clear his throat, seems like someone just woke up.

"Hi."

"Hi to you too." He replies, "Why'd you finally call? After what? A week?"

"I'm so sorry."

"Hm." He hums, seems like Harry's tired of my fucked up business, personality and moody ass.

"I really am. I should've believed you and I shouldn't have flipped shit when you were explaining yourself. I just got hurt that you wouldn't even include me in this when you know it would affect me the most. I don't know. I just needed time to think and—"

"Stop!" Harry growls and I can't help but pout, what's he on about? "I can't do this right now." He says softly,

"What do you mean, Harry?"
