GRADUATION DAY!
Angie
June.
It's graduation day. The day I finally end High School and a step closer into starting a new hurdle in my life. In a month or so, I'll be moving my things in the Dormitory in Stanford and soon I'll be a Paediatric Major and start my Pre-Medicine life. And then four years later, I have to spend another four years in Stanford to get my Medicine degree, Paediatric practise more like.
I look at myself in the mirror, I'm wearing a white lace body-con dress that goes mid-thigh paired with nude stilettoes with sadly an ankle brace wrapped around my left ankle. Again, the last thing I want is to traumatise my ankle, I'm still going through physical therapy and soon I'll be able to wear heels without an ankle brace.
I take a look at my speech once more and then my mirror. I'm so ready. Some of my relatives who could make it are here, and of course Harry is here as well. This time, he'll be able to stay in Sarasota for three days at most and then he'll join with the lads on tour again. I walk down the stairs to hear people talking, it was after our brunch before we all have to head to my school to attend the Graduation Day.
A few months back, I've received my results in my exams and SATs. I'm glad I've gotten high marks and I've maintained my spot in the National Honours Society and in the Honour Roll from my Freshmen Year. Even though I'm not the Salutatorian or the Valedictorian, honestly, this is good for me already. I've got College planned and Stanford is expecting me on August already.
Suddenly, I get an unexpected text from the girl I've missed so much and am still missing.
Allie Taylor: Hey there baby sister, I hope you still remember me. From your posts on Instagram and your tweets, I reckon today is your graduation day. Congratulations, Angie! I am so proud of you :) I miss you so much, we really need to keep in touch more often, haha. Anyways, I know today is a very busy day for you. I graduate college next year as well. I hope you and Harry are okay, I've seen the headlines, they're not pretty. Ricky says hi as well. I miss you loads, baby girl. Keep in touch and CONGRATULATIONS!!! Xoxo
Me: Allie!! You have no idea how happy I am to get this text from you. Thank you so much and advanced Congratulations to you too. We seriously need to keep in touch, I'm missing you loads, woman! Harry and I are more than fine, in fact, he's here attending my Graduation. Tell Ricky we both say hi. Speak soon! Xx
"There she is!" My aunt, my mum's sister, says as I approach them at the sitting room. Harry sees me and wraps his arm around my waist and kisses the top of my head.
"We should head to the venue right now." My dad says as he checks his camera.
"Do you have your speech, pumpkin?" My mum asks as she fixes my baby brother's cute little suit.
"Yes." I say, I'm not going to lie but I'm quite nervous.
Before we leave the house, numerous pictures are taken of me and my family and relatives along with Harry. Afterwards, we proceed to the car and the driver drives us all to my High School in separate cars. I have my toga hung in the car. Just looking at it makes me even more excited to Graduate but sad because I'll be parting ways with a lot of people. Especially my best friend, Savannah. She's not attending Stanford but she's going to be all the way in Seattle. Tyler's going to the University of Minnesota and Ivan is going to Chicago. We're all going to be parting ways and that's what I'm not looking forward to.
