A SMILE
Harry
She came and she left. That's all. She came and she dropped the blanket and just left. Her eyes were puffy and somewhat red. She looked like she was in pain too. Was she suffering as much as I am? Or she doesn't care at all?
I hop on the couch and wrap the blanket around me. The blanket smells like her, candy smell, the smell of her perfume. The smell is so strong that it's like she is beside me wrapping her arms around me. I turn the TV on and the interview was airing again, great. I take the remote and switch to Cougar Town and watch the second season. This reminds me of Angie because the time when I slept over, we were watching Cougar town and it was really fun. But without her here, I don't have the urge to laugh. I miss her cute laugh whenever Laurie says something funny or stupid. Main point is that I miss her.
When she knocked on my door, I thought she would hug me or kiss me and say "Why not?" but I thought wrong. How can I be that stupid? I basically just friend zoned her, because of the stupid ass interview. I regret what I said, and if I didn't say such things, I would probably be with Angie eating dinner out. But now, after all the shit I said, I'm staying home and having take out with Louis.
Ten minutes later Louis comes in the house and drops the food on the counter.
"Sweet blanket you got there." he says pointing at it.
"Yeah. Angie gave it." I choke,
"Oh." He smirks.
"She came to drop it earlier." I recall,
"I bumped into her in Nandos. Her eyes were red and puffy." He stammers and I look up at him.
"She just dropped this and left." I say to him and he hands me a plate of chicken.
"Oh. Nothing more?" He bites his chicken and I shake my head.
"Yeah she looked miserable actually. She's just thinking things through." Louis gulps, think about what?
"About what?" I blurt,
"About taking you back. She asked if you cried. She asked if those kisses and hugs meant something to you 'cause if it does, it means a lot to her. While she was talking about that, tears started to stream down her face." Louis implies.
"What did you say?" I stammer, curious of what Louis said.
"I told her that she means the world to you and you care about her so much." Louis utters and I smile at him.
"Thanks man." I remark and he nods.
We watch The Simpsons after Skins and Louis was the only one laughing. All the time I was thinking of what Angie was doing. How is she? Did she eat? Is she sleeping? I can't take this. I want to run to her hotel room and check on her but that violates the whole 'giving her space' thing. I take both of our plates and wash it.
"I'm going to bed, Louis. Thanks for dinner" I say approaching the stairs.
"Don't forget your blanket and laptop." He points out and I grab it.
I head to my room and put my laptop on my desk and the blanket on my bed. I take my phone and call my mum.
"Hi baby." My mum answers.
"Hey." I greet back, sad
"Are you okay?" She chimes in,
"Broken." I blurt out.
