*Jacks P.O.V.*
There she was. She looked so pale, so fragile, so different. I took her hand in mine, and was shocked by the warmth. I shed a few tears, relief. She was alive! Her eyes flickered, and I prepared to look into her eyes. They opened slowly and I gazed deep into blue eyes. Her twinkle was back. She smiled at me and everything was different. She was alive!
"Hello" I managed to choke. More and more tears were falling, I was so relieved.
"Hi" She smiled back.
"I'm so glad, your okay. I thought I'd lost you forever" I leaned in closer to her. Our lips connected and it was amazing, her lips were soft and had pressure behind them. I held the back of her neck, pulling her closer to me. When we pull away, I catch her gazing into my eyes. With my index finger I graze her cheek, and rest my forehead on hers.
"I thought I'd never get to see you again. I love you so so much"
"I love you too." She whispered. After everything had happened her voice was smooth and musical. She tried to sit up, but flinched in pain. Her hands hedged down to her stomach, rubbing her bandages. She fell back and cried. I took her hand again, intertwineing our fingers. I kissed the top of her hand. I brushed some hair out of her face, and she looked at me.
"Where is he?" She said still clutching her stomach.
"Who?"
"Lewis" She whispered.
"After he shot you, he ran off into the forest"
"So..he's still out there?"
"Afraid so sweetie"
She laid back and looked away. I didn't know what to say. I sat on the bed next to her, and opened up my arms. She laid back, and rested her head on my chest. I stroked her hair, and held her close to me. I breathed in her scent and tightened my grip. For hours we sat in silence, and just sat in and embrace. Everything was a mix between, doctors, nurses, and paper work. After she was discharged, I held her hand as we walked out. When we got into the car, I sat beside her, and she stared out of the window blankly. I took her hand and she looked at me.
"I thought I'd lost you forever. I thought that my life was going to blank, and without life. My life being drained and having to live in this husk of a body. I love you can I don't think I could live without you."
She looked deep into my eyes and studied my face. Instantly our lips connected again, and I brought her closer to me. I ran my fingers through her soft hair and pulling her closer to me. When we pull away and she cracked a smile.
"I love you"
"I love you too" And we drove home. She smiled and it felt like none of this had happened. She was laughing and smiling. She was back with me. We pulled up the drive way and we both got out. I held her hand as we walked up to the front door. We was home. I picked her up and carried her into the house. I laid her on the sofa and listened closely to her giggle. I laid next to her. Our legs intertwined. And sleep quickly took us.
