I was back in that town square. I was alone, abandoned. Everything was still, and not a single sound was heard.
"Hello?" I call out, wondering why I'm here. Jack appears from around one corner and Lewis appears from around another corner. I began panicking, he's come back. Hes coming to get me. I run to Jack, but he pushes me away. What?...
"Jack?" I whisper. I was so confused. Lewis pulls me back by the shoulders as Jack gets further away. "JACK!" Why is he not helping me!.
"Stop deluding yourself, like someone like him, could ever love some pathetic excuse for a woman like you." Lewis whispered harshly in my ear. His nails dug into my shoulders, I was in pain. I wriggle free and run back to Jack.
"Jack, Help me!"
"Why would I want to help you?" I was in shocked silence.
"What?" I began crying. "Jack, I'm your wife, your childs mother!"
"I married you because I felt sorry for you. All alone, with no man. I asked you out for a bet. I never loved you." Those words dug deep. What?...He-He-He doesn't mean this, none of this is happening is it? Lewis grabbed my arm and pulled me away.
"NO!" I scream out.
"He never loved you" Lewis whispered. No! I refused to believe it, Jack loved me I know it. We stop, with Jack still watching us.
"Jack, What are you doing?" I yell out. Suddenly Summer appears and Jack picks her up. My baby. My breathing increased. My family has turned against me. But then Summer, opened her mouth and whisper in a high pitched voice.
"I hate you mummy"
"SUMMER?! Summer, baby Please!" I scream.Only to be met with silence. "Why are you two doing this?!" I yell whilst trying to struggle out of Lewiss' grasp.
"I hate you, you worthless waste of space. No-one could ever love you, I hate the sight of you." Jack whispered loud enough for me to hear.
"No! NO! JACK DON'T LET HIM TAKE ME AWAY!" I scream at the top of my lungs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I sit bolt up right, and I realize I'm at home. Jack was sat next to me stroking my hand. All of that was way to real to be a dream. I jump out of bed and back away.
"Why? Why did you let him take me away?" I whisper.
"Honey, calm down. It was only a dream" He says standing up from the bed.
"No, You said no-one could ever love me. You said I was a waste of space. AND DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!" I sink to a ball on the floor. It can't of been a dream.
"Honey, I love you, I always have and I always will. And you are anything but a waste of space. You are my life, my heart, my wife. I love you. It was a dream, it wasn't true. I promise you that." He whispered in my ear, and he sat on the floor next to me. He wrapped his strong arms around me. I fell into his body, as I begin to realize it was a dream, none of it happened. Jack doesn't hate me.
I take a deep breath as Jack walks me back to he bed sits me down. I lean back against the headboard. I take another deep breath and close my eyes. None of it was real. I open my eyes, to see Jack sat beside me holding summer. He passed her to me and wrapped one arm around my waist. She was fast asleep, but she was stunning. I kiss her gently on the forehead, and hold her close to my chest.
"This means that you didn't marry me because you felt sorry for me?" I whisper trying to to disturb her.
"Of course not! I married you because you are the love of my life. And I promise, I will protect you and my daughter til the end of my days." He whispers back, and presses his soft lips into mine. I had missed them. They were so soothing, compared to Lewiss' alcohol stained lips. We pull away and I smile at him. We both look down at our daughter. She was beautiful.
"Jack, what if i keep having these dreams. But what if it gets worse, what if i leave. I don't want to lose you."
"Your dreams will get better, and even if you feel like walking, I have to try my damned hardest to make sure you don't"
"I love you" I whisper
"I love you too" He smiles.
