"Levi..." Eren mumbled as his head was roughly pushed to the floor. He was in a courtroom and there were what seemed like hundreds of people watching, but all he cared about was the man in front of him. Levi was short, with Raven black hair and eyes that seemed stuck in a permanent glare, and also happened to be humanity's strongest warrior. He was also in the process of violently beating the young boy up in front of an audience from the Military Police, Survey Corps and Garrisons. Even commander Erwin was there and Eren was desperate to impress him, but so far he was doing terribly.
Eren was desperate to join the Survey Corps, to prove that he could fight that Titans and he was on humanity's side but he didn't look like much of a fighter with a bloody nose and two black eyes. At least he wasn't dead though, if Levi hadn't started to kick him he would probably have been dead.(Time skip)
"New recruits, today you are joining the most elite squad in the Survey Corps. You get the honour of working alongside the strongest fighters that the world has left to offer. I congratulate you on completing your training but I must warn you; this will be ten times harder, ten time more violent and the chances are most of you may not last a day outside the walls. But still we must try and take back what is ours, FOR THR GLORY OF HUMANITY!" Levi yelled the last part and salutes, the new recruits copying him and echoing "for the glory of humanity!"
Eren hung back from the crowd, he couldn't help but notice that weird look on the captain's face when he looked at him. His heart fluttered and he couldn't help blushing. He knew it was wrong, the captain was over twice his age and would never notice an insignificant guy like Eren, would he?
"Jaegar, stay with me. Mikasa and Armin, go and find your gear and saddle up a horse. We we going on a practise mission outside the walls." Levi commanded and everyone immediately jumped to obey his orders.
"Y-yes Captain? W-what do you want?" Eren stammered.
"I see the way you look at me, you little brat. Can you try not to stare like that while I'm taking? It's really distracting."
"S-sorry sir, I didn't mean to," Eren blushed and apologised quietly. Levi smiled and stood on his tiptoes and looked into Eren's eyes. Something about him was so different from the other recruits. Eren truly believed in the cause he was fighting for and was obviously willing to sacrifice himself if he knew that it would make a difference. Levi admired that. But it was against protocol for a captain and a recruit to have any kind of relationship, so he would just have to keep away from the little brat as much as he could. He didn't want to do something that he'd regret...(Outside the walls)
Eren was loving every moment, flying through the trees effortlessly and killing every last Titan that crossed their path. It was just him and Levi, Armin and Mikasa had been requested by Erwin to do some work on the strategies. Eren guessed that Armin had been requested and Mikasa had gone with him. But it gave him more time alone with Levi and for that he was thankful; he still didn't know what to think. Had Levi been about to kiss him that time? Did the captain feel something for Eren in the same way Eren did for Levi? He was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't see the tree looming up in front of him and he crashed into it head first.
The world went black and the last thing Eren could remember was the face of the captain leaning over him...
