Levi was still sitting at the piano when Hanji came in. He was oblivious to her as she stood there watching him play, the look of absolute peace on his face and the way his hands traced over the notes gently, seeming almost effortless. Eventually the song ended and Hanji cleared her throat politely. Levi jumped up and blushed.
"Hanji! I...uh...I didn't see you there..." he stammered.
"You play beautifully Levi." She said. "Where did you learn?"
"I taught myself...it was something to do when I wasn't fighting," Levi admitted. They both stood awkwardly for a moment before Hanji sat down on a sofa and made herself comfortable.
"How was your shower?" She asked politely.
"Fine." Levi answered shortly. He was going back to his usual short-tempered self already.
"Mikasa stopped by to see Eren," Hanji said, and she carefully watched for any kind of reaction from the captain. She got nothing.
"That's only to be expected. She is his sister after all." His tone made it clear that it was the end of the conversation.
"Levi...what's going on between you and Eren?" Hanji asked bluntly. "You know you can always talk to me..."
"Nothing is going on between us!" Anger flashed across Levi's face. "And I don't need to talk to you. I'm not in a counselling session where I need to talk about my feelings. I just want you to tell me what's wrong with me!" Almost as quickly as Levi's outburst started it was over again and he sank onto the sofa opposite Hanji with his head in his hands. For a moment he just sat there, shaking slightly, then he fell backwards and lay on the sofa, almost as if he had fallen asleep.
"Levi? Are you okay?" Hanji got up and snapped her fingers in his face. His eyes flickered open and looked around, but there was a look of confusion and fear in them.
It only lasted a few seconds and then Levi was on his feet again, looking dazed.
"It happened again, didn't it." It wasn't a question but Hanii meant it kindly. Levi nodded simply. "What's wrong with me?" he muttered to himself.
"The only thing I can think of is stress, but I'm going to do a few blood tests just to make sure." Hanji said. "I'm doing some on Eren as well and is he's got something that's contagious, although I highly doubt it, I think it would be best to do some on you as well. Just to be safe."
(Time skip)He couldn't look. He simply couldn't. His palms were sweaty and his breath was coming in ragged gasps. Hanji approached slowly, with the needle help firmly in her gloved hand.
"This won't hurt a bit!" She said cheerily. To Levi it was something out of a horror movie.
He gasped as he felt the needle being sunk into his arm, and the feeling of the blood being taken out was too much. He turned his head to look and the sight of the needle sticking out of his arm and the red liquids being drawn out made him feel sick. The world started to spin and Levi fainted.
The last thing he remembered was Hanji sighing.
"Honestly. The amount of people who faint at the sight of a needle!"
