Levi woke up in his bedroom, with the watchful face of Hanji leaning over him.
"Hanji! Why are you in my house? Get out of my room!" He exclaimed crossly.
"Calm down!" She laughed. "You just fainted, I brought you back here. It was hilarious, you drool in your sleep!"
"I fainted? How long have I been out for?" Levi asked, ignoring the rude comment.
"Only a few minutes, I didn't put you down as one to be afraid of needles Levi!" Hanji joked again. Levi glared at her and she soon stopped.
Levi's arm was sore, he then realised exactly what had happened.
"Did you get the blood samples you needed?" He asked.
"Yes, before you went and fainted on me like a big wuss!" Hanji giggled more and Levi punched her arm playfully.
"Any news from Eren?" He asked. Hanji shook her head.
"He's still sleeping a lot, but his head seems fine and he's not dizzy anymore. He's pretty weak right now, but I think he's going to be okay. I'm just waiting for the blood test results to come in. He's probably asleep now, but I could take you to see him if you want."
"Yes!" Levi leaped off the bed and ran into the bathroom. "Just give me a few minutes to get ready, okay?" he hurriedly combed his hair and sprayed himself with body spray. He looked at his reflection in the mirror. He looked a mess.
The dark rings under his eyes were more noticeable than they ever had been before and his skin was so pale it was almost transparent. "This goes against every instinct in my body...but I'm going to give this a shot..."he muttered to himself and he opened the cupboard in his bathroom that had never been opened before. Inside it contained all of his old flatmate, Isobel's, make up. He had no clue where to start so he opened a tube of skin coloured stuff labelled "foundation". He smeared it over his face, and looked at himself again. He looked less pale, but the rings under his eyes were even more noticeable now. The next thing he found way a small stick of what looked like lipstick, but was the same peachy colour as the foundation. He rubbed it into the skin under his eyes and smiled at his reflection, he looked almost human again!
"Levi! Are you okay in there?" Hanji was knocking on the door, so Levi hurriedly showed all the makeup back into the bag and locked the cupboard door again.
"Coming now!" He called as he walked out to face Hanji, who immediately burst out laughing.
"Levi! You're wearing makeup!" She giggled.
"Is is that bad?" Levi asked miserably. He thought that he'd done pretty well.
"It's pretty good, for a first timer, although I'm not sure that it really matches your skin tone!" She smiled brightly. "But it's an improvement from earlier. Ready to go?"
"Yes"(Time skip to the hospital with Eren)
"Heichou! You're here!" Eren blushed and saluted as Levi came into the room.
"You don't need to call me that Eren," Levi said warmly. "And you don't need to salute either."
"Huh?" Eren looked confused. "But you're my captain, I have to..." He broke off suddenly as Levi stepped foreward and embraced Eren tightly. "I was worried about you!" he whispered.
Eren blushed more. "Don't do anything you might regret Levi..." he whispered sadly.
"Well I just hope I live to regret this choice..."
