Hanji's Diary

I really have no clue what's going on around here anymore. First Eren, who is supposed to be almost invincible thanks to his Titan regeneration powers comes back from a training mission with some sort of head injury. Then Levi stops coming to check on the new recruits as much. Eren avoids coming to training-which is extremely rare; and then decided that he doesn't want to spend time with anyone, not even his closest friends.
Almost a week after all that, Eren is still acting strangely but hasn't come to see me so I assume that he's feeling okay and that his behaviour has nothing to do with him being ill. Then I get a mysterious note telling me that there is a high chance that he is concussed and maybe worse, so he would need checked up on. The note was signed L.A, so I knew it was Levi, but it's unusual for him to do something as mysterious as sending a note...normally he's a very straightforward no fuss kind of man.
I take the hint and find Eren sulking in a tree, and when I mention Levi wanting him he comes down; and strangest of all he faints! I moved him to my surgery for observation and the message was spread that he was ill, but no one came to visit him apart from the captain.
I left Levi and Eren alone for a few minutes, because I believed that Levi would be sensible enough not to upset my patient too much but no! When I come back they're lying on the floor! Eren is out cold again and Levi is near to tears...its most strange. I had to ask Levi to leave after that although I get the feeling that he'll be back soon.
I've never seen him so upset about anyone before- in fact I don't believe I've ever seen him show much of any emotion at all!
It's most confusing...

(The next day)

There is definitely something wrong with Levi. He showed up at my house after Midnight asking if he could talk to Eren!
"Eren is sleeping soundly and in a stable condition right now, having to deal with visitors could drain his remaining strength completely." That's what I told him, but he didn't seem to find it comforting; in fact he started to cry right in the middle of my kitchen! He was wailing like a madman, and it was difficult to make out everything that he was saying but I think I got the general gist of it. He thought that he had done something wrong and that Eren's condition was all his fault.
I told him not to be so stupid, that Eren was probably going to be fine and wasn't showing any symptoms of anything other than exhaustion and slight nausea and dizziness from the concussion. Within a few weeks he would be back to his normal self.
I'm not sure if Levi completely understood me but he seemed to calm down a bit after that. He then asked me to run some tests on him! This definitely confused me because before now Levi has blankly refused to let me do any kind of tests or experiments on him, but once he explained I understood why.
"I've been getting these weird headaches, for no reason and when they strike I feel like I can't stand it, like there are a million fire alarms ringing in my head and it's almost unbearable. Sometimes my vision will just fade slightly, like I'm looking at everything through someone else's glasses. The worst part is...it feels like my brain just stops processing things sometimes. One minute I was sitting talking to Petra, and then the world seems to freeze. I can hear sounds, but they don't make any sense. I can see her lips moving but I can't understand what she's trying to tell me. I can't even move my own finger. And then it's gone, just as if it never happened!" he explained. That instantly worried me, because I don't need another one of our strongest fighters falling ill.
I agreed to run the tests, although I'm sure he's just paranoid right now. He's so stressed about Eren and he hasn't been sleeping, he would never admit it but you can tell just by looking at him. I'm almost certain that there's nothing serious wrong with Levi. I hope for humanity's sake that I'm right.
