Kai's POV
"Kai, you have the day off again. Go visit Sia at Luna Corp. or something," Killian said to me. I ran my hand through my hair and tucked it into my pant pocket.
"Okay, will that be all Killian?" I asked. He was handed some paperwork from another agent.
"No, that will be all. Go and hurry to your girlfriend," he smirked and then walked off.
I froze in place and I blushed. Good thing this mask covered that. I coughed out the awkward tension from the air and headed to Luna Corp.
Jeina welcomed me back again. I walked towards Sia's room. The whole chrome setting of this place still got to me.
A whole bunch of girl agents did a double take when I walked by. I ignored them.
Sia's room door wasn't fully closed. It was slightly opened. I knocked twice but no one was there.
"Hello?" I said walking through the door and switching on the lights.
She wasn't inside. Hm, must be off on a mission. I examined her room. There was an envelope on her dresser.
A good friend wouldn't look through her personal items....but a best friend would. I grabbed the letter and read its contents.
What?
I threw the letter on her dresser and examined the floor for any signs of struggle.
The carpet was a clean white so I leaned down on the floor to inspect any blood stains. I can see a small spot of blood right in the middle of the room.
I touched it and it was dry. What happened here?
I rushed over to the front desk where Jeina sat. She looked up and blushed when she made eye contact with me.
"Where is Sia?" I asked. She started typing and clicked her mouse a couple of times.
"It says that she's supposed to be on a mission, but she didn't report in the whole day," she informed me. I ran from the desk to Luna's office.
He wasn't in his office. The glass door was locked when I tried to open it.
Where is he? Where is Sia?
I walked through the halls and asked around where they could be. I got useless answers.
"Sia? She's hot!"
"Luna? The boss? He's most likelyin his office."
"Luna? Sia? The power couple of the whole organization?"
"Haven't seen them the whole day."
"I just started working here, so I'm lost."
The last guy was hopeless. I walked back to the front desk. Jeina was typing away on her desktop computer.
I coughed to get her attention and she looked up and smiled at me. "I'm sorry to bother again, but just one more question."
She gave me her full attention. "Oh, you're not a bother at all!"
"Yeah......so anyways, where is Luna?" I asked. She thought about it for a moment.
"He left this morning for a business trip. I don't know when he will be back though," she informed me. She took a break from typing. "Soo...are you single?"
I rolled my eyes and walked off to Sia's room again.
Wait.
The ring I gave her.
