Gisbornelooked to Lily staying with Alan through this dark time and blamedhimself for not fighting enough himself. The lord of Scarlet hadforbidden a marriage for a fallen supporter of the sheriff ofNottingham and a servant of Scarlet. Guy knew there was more to itand he take Lily to a home where no master would hurt her. Every mansaw an easy victim in her and not the strength, loyalty and kindnesshe had gotten from her.
"It'sonly right we go to Sherwood. Robin helped us start again and someonehas to... I mean... Alan might want to say goodbye" He didn't givethem time to think or turn down his office. They left riding duringthe night and reached Sherwood in the morning. Not knowing where tostart looking for Robin's men Guy let Alan lead the way to the campand a surprise was awaiting them.
"Hood?"- "Robin!"
"Didn'tI tell you not to come back again?" Robin was alive and well andeven offered Lily his hand. "Come down and join us for our meal. Ithink we have much to talk about"
"Weheard you are dead" Alan still looked confused but looked muchhappier seeing all his friends again while Guy watched the group fromafar. He didn't trust this and sighed until a man he didn't know ledhim to the camp's kitchen. "We have enough for all of us, myfriend"
"I'mnot your friend" He pushed the man away and was surprised Robintook the place next to him. "Forgive Brother Tuck, he doesn't knowour past... Since I'm back from the holy land I see things differentnow. That doesn't mean I trust you... but I see what my men saw whenwe last met. Lily has changed you and I must confess it was for thebetter"
"Shewill become my wife" Guy spoke quietly and felt Robin's view onhim. "Why you haven't yet? Why do you waste time? I did... and nowMarian is died. She died in the holy land and I didn't know how to goon"
