Football One Shots

The happiness I felt, when the ball hit the back of the net, was indescribable. Winning a Gold for my country is something I've wanted to do since I was young, and now, I've done it. Brazil has a Gold medal in the Olympics, for Fútbol! The natural high I felt was out of this world! I felt unstoppable, invincible, I felt indestructible! The tears were the second thing to come, after the happiness, and I let them fall to the ground as I 'thanked' God for everything. I was tackled to the ground by a majority of the team as they all cried and cheered.
That's all I really remember from the Final. Everything else is a big blur filled with joy.
I arrived back to Barcelona a few days later. Walking through the tunnel of the plane exit, I was expecting to see someone, anyone, waiting for me, but I was left alone.
A frown was etched on my face as a pang of hurt rang through my heart. I really wanted Leo here, telling me he missed me and how good I did, but instead, I was met with my empty car.
When I pulled into my driveway, frown still present on my face, I sighed before turning the engine off. I shuffled into the house with heavy feet and a sad heart.
My bags hit the ground seconds after  I entered into the foyer. Poker barked and ran to see who entered. When he saw me, he broke into a sprint and leaped into my open arms. His cries sounded through the empty house as he continuously licked my face.
"At least you missed me Pokes." I smiled sadly before setting him on the ground.
"Well I missed you too Ney." I looked up in shock when Leo spoke.
"Leo!" I screamed and ran to him.
He fell to the carpet when I hit him and engulfed him in a hug. I felt my eyes burn a bit, but kept the tears at bay.
"Why weren't you at the airport?" I asked as I held him tightly.
"I didn't want anyone to notice me before I got to your gate, and stop me from getting to you. So, I decided to wait for you to get home." That made sense.
"Oh. Well I'm glad you're here." I sighed softly in his ear.
I could feel, and hear, my heart pounding with excitement and nervousness, as Leo hand rubbed my back.
I had honestly missed hugging Leo and talking to him daily, I hope he felt the same.
We both stayed quiet and unmoving for a few minutes before Leo shifted.
"Wanna get up yet?" He asked from under me.
"No." I answered honestly.
I knew this was rare, and I didn't want it to end yet.
"Ok." He chuckled.
"I missed you Leo." I mumbled.
"I missed you too Ney."
My shirt had ridden up a bit, which in turn left part of my skin bare.
A shiver ran through my spine as Leo's fingers brushed lightly across the warm skin.
A few sniffles left my nose as I thought deeply about what happened earlier.
"What's wrong Ney?"
"We won Leo. We actually won." I cried even harder as the realization set in.
"I knew you would Ney. You never fail to amaze me..." I picked my head up off of Leo's chest and looked at him.
"Shut up Leo." I grinned.
"I'm being serious Neymar. Everything you do, is nothing less than amazing." His fingers brushed my cheek softly.
"I think you're talking about yourself again." I giggled and began to play with Leo's fingers.
He quickly snatched my hand in his and stared into my eyes. Our fingers intertwined and rested on his chest.
"I'm not. I am talking about you Neymar. You are perfect. Everything about you, I love. I want everything you have, including you yourself." I quickly turned nervous.
"Leo, why are you saying this?" I asked breathlessly.
"Because it's true. Don't you see! I'm madly in love with you Ney. I have been since we met. I guess you could call it love at first sight. Look, what I'm trying to say is, I want you." He pulled me closer.
"I-I... Why?" I felt stupid for being a confused mess and not saying 'yes' since I've wanted this forever, but I had to know why.
"I already told you Ney."
"No. What's the real reason?"
"I want to be with you, because I can't imagine it any other way. Without you, I'm nothing. You're my other half. You were made for me!"
My breathe hitched in my throat as my eyes grew wide.
"Are you sure? Cause if you're playing, I can't guarantee I'll ever talk to you again." I asked skeptically.
"I'm positive." I studied Leo for a few seconds before hugging him tightly.
"I love you Leo!" I placed kisses all over his face, the last one landing on his lips.
"I love you too Ney." Leo kissed me back.
That night was full of romantic, yet funny, activities. We went to the local pizza place and purchased two whole pizzas. Leo ended up almost eating a piece of hair from one of the workers and I finished my pizza. Next, we went to the Go Kart place a half hour away from Leo's and raced a few times. Leo hadn't won any, but he definitely showed how bad of a driver he is. By the end of the night, we were both exhausted. We decided to stay at my place, since Poker missed me and Leo wanted to spend more time with me. That night, I feel asleep at ease with Leo next to me.
