There is a slight mention of Cristessi
---

"Hey Cristiano!" The smile on James's lips was bright enough to light up the room.
Cristiano looked up in a bit of annoyance for the young Colombian, but still gave him a slight smile back.
"Hello James." Cristiano gave James his back again and continued to shuffle through his things for practice.
James's smile faltered slightly and he fidgeted before walking to his respective area and getting ready for practice. His mind was restless as he ran through different scenarios of the past few matches and the recent El Classico they had just participated in.
He didn't get to play a single minute against Barcelona, and while this did upset him, it wasn't the worst thing that happened. No, that was when James walked in on Messi and Cristiano getting a little handsy and intimate.
The usual chatter carried on in the room as everyone came around and began to get ready. James kept to himself as he usually did and listened around for anything new. His hand came to rest upon a shirt inside his bag and he simply stared down. His eyes felt as though they were burning and soon enough tears began to fill his waterline.
The shirt held in his fingertips was the one Cristiano got him during the teams game against Valencia. It was a Ronaldo fan shirt and it was given to him as a small joke, but it meant the world to James.
"Oh, you need this shirt. It'll let everyone know who your favorite player is and it will remind you of me when I'm not there." A soft smile had graced his lips and sold James on the idea almost instantly.
"I'd like that." James told him softly.
His thin fingers wrapped tightly around the fabric and he bit down on his chapped lip to keep from crying. The betrayal he felt inside was unbearable and he felt like leaving. He didn't want to see Cristiano play, he didn't want to hear him talk, he didn't want to know he was around. He was pissed, yet so heartbroken because of the Portuguese man.
James's eyes wandered up from their spot on the shirt and found Cristiano's muscular back. James was convinced that Cristiano had planned his heartbreak step-by-step. He felt as though it was him against the world right now, and he didn't like it, at all.
His untied boots were thrown back into his bag and he zipped it closed before slinging it over his shoulder and walking to the exit of the room.
The breaths that left his mouth were shaky and his head seemed to be beating to a certain rhythm that caused him slight discomfort. He didn't dare look back as Cristiano's burning gaze landed on his backside. James's hand hesitated to open the door when he approached it.
He knew if he walked out, it would be unlikely for him to come back, whether that be because of his own decision or from Zidane's. A bit of internal reassurance gave him a final push and he pulled the door open.
The room behind him had fallen silent as if waiting for James's decisions for his future. Having walked through the door, he showed Cristiano how done he was. He showed Cristiano that he wouldn't wait around for him to come collect his pieces off the floor and rebuild him, because James knew he'd be down there for a while if he did.
With each step James took, he felt more and more certain with his decision, but that quickly amounted to nothing when Cristiano's voice called out to him.
"James, don't go." James's footsteps came to a halt and he turned around with a sad look in his watery eyes.
"No Cristiano. You don't get to tell me what to do." The surprise Cristiano felt was evident on his face when James spoke against him.
He wasn't used to being spoken back to. People all over bowed down to him and followed his every command, including James, but now, James was taking a stand.
"James, please, I want you. Not Leo." Although he sounded convincing, James could see through his lies.
"Please don't tell me you want me. We both know that's not true. Now let me move on before you hurt me more than you already have." Finality was heard in James's struggling voice, so Cristiano stayed in place and watched as James's back became smaller with each step, until he was no longer there.

Short but I thought an update was due! Hope you liked this. Tried out a different POV and I like it a lot more than my OG one. Might write a few pieces like this. Love you all!
