Luis
------
"That's funny because last time I checked you were still as dumb as they come." Luis smacked the back of Umtiti's head as the man cackled at his own joke about Luis.
"Shut it you ass." Luis grumbled out embarrassed.
This it how it'd been since Luis could remember. Umtiti and him always picking on each other and cracking jokes. Luis and Umtiti, they were practically brothers, having grown up in the shady part of town, they always had to look out for one another. That's how they ended up here.
"Hey, lets go get Ney! We can bring him down to the library! I bet he'd like that!" Umtiti set off in an almost sprint down the busy corridor.
Luis tried his best to keep up, swerving around people and squeaking out his 'sorry' every once in a while.
The two seemed to be sailing rather smoothly around people, until Umtiti collided with Kun and they both dropped to the floor.
"Ah shit Kun... sorry man." Umtiti offered his hand out to help Kun up, but he simply shoved the hand away and hopped up, walking away without looking back.
"I wonder what's up his ass." Luis voiced his thoughts.
"I don't know... isn't he supposed to be watching Ney?" Umtiti asked.
"Maybe Leo beat us back." Luis shrugged, but deep down his heart began to pound in fear.
"No. He couldn't have. He was still deep in the conversation with Cristiano. He didn't even get to visit Los Colchoneros." Umtiti looked at Luis for only a moment before breaking into a sprint towards Leo's cell.
"Ney?" Umtiti called as he stepped through the doorway.
"He isn't here... Oh god. We need to get Leo." Luis began to shake slightly as he thought of the worst for Neymar.
The prison was dangerous, not only because of the guards like Allegri, but also because of the people being kept there. Those people were mob bosses, serial killers, and rapists. No matter how you looked at it, the prison was not a place to be messed with or taken lightly. Luis knew this all too well.
"What the hell did Kun do?" Luis gripped his hair as he turn to find Leo; Umtiti hot on his tail. They weren't sure what happened to Neymar, but they needed to find him, and fast.
When they entered the community room, where they last saw Leo, they spotted him at the far table with Cristiano. To see the two still discussing business wasn't unusual, heck, it would be weird if they were even halfway done.
"Leo." Luis spoke lowly as he approached Leo and stood close to him.
"What is it?" Leo wasn't upset. He knew if he was interrupted while handling business, it was something important.
"It's Ney." Luis dropped his head closer to Leo, as Leo looked up at him and began to grow worried, though he didn't show it.
"What about him Luis?" Leo pressed for more.
"He's gone." Leo was out of his chair and through the doorway in less than a second with Luis and Umtiti chasing after him in hopes to find Ney.
-------
Neymar
-------
Why didn't Kun help Neymar? Did Ney do something to upset him; turn him against Leo? Maybe it was because Neymar laughed when Luis cracked a joke about Kun in front of a crowd in the cafeteria. Or maybe it was because Neymar has been sleeping around the past two days. Or maybe it's because Leo wanted Neymar to sit beside him, and shower beside him.
The possible reasons were endless as they all nagged at Neymar. What could he have done to prevent this?
"Where are we going?" Ney forced out through his fear gripped throat.
Allegri continued to ignore Neymar and carried on walking instead.
Taking in his surroundings and recognizing them became harder and harder as they continued to walk, taking an occasional left or right, and even going up a few steps.
"Seriously! You can't do this! I haven't done anything! I'll tell the Warden!" Neymar tried to come up with any threat he could to try and sway Allegri's mind.
"Oh you think you're innocent?" Allegri questioned eerily.
They had approached a room that was small in size, holding only a beat up radiator, a large, wooded desk, and a small bookshelf along the side wall. The rotting door slammed shut behind Allegri as he entered the room after Neymar, who he shoved inside.
"Let me tell you something. You think living here is easy! This is supposed to be your punishment for your wrong doing, yet you aren't being punished. So, I've taken it upon myself to punish those who deserve it, but haven't gotten it." Allegri laughed maliciously.
"No, I have been punished! I have to live inside these confined walls everyday for the rest of my life! I have to fear everyone around me! I can't trust anyone!" Neymar screamed back, but immediately regretted it when Allegri hit him hard across the face, sending him to the floor.
"At least you're alive! Your poor mother can't say the same, right? Because you beat her to death! You held her down on the kitchen floor, late one night, and beat her savagely until her screams were silenced and her last breath was taken. Then you shot her for good measure. You killed your mother, yet you think you can say you have it bad! You're still HERE!" Neymar froze as the words left his mouth.
"No. No I-" Neymar remembered that day all too clearly.
His mother had come home after a long day at work. Usually Neymar could expect her at 6:00, but her shift had been busy with the upcoming holidays, so she ended up working until 7:30. Neymar knew his father would be upset, because who would make him dinner and bring him his beer. Neymar was far too afraid to do either in fear of his father's mood changing and him lashing out and beating Neymar like he often did to Neymar's mother.
When the jiggle of the door handle sounded, Neymar's dad stood from his spot in the living room.
"I'm sorry I'm late. Busy night at work. I'll get right on your dinner dear." Neymar watched from his spot on the stair entrance as his Mother kept her head down and made her way to the kitchen.
"Busy night? You really expect me to believe that? Who is he?" Neymar's father was beyond drunk and very upset.
"No one. I told you it was busy." Neymar could tell she was trying to sound strong, but it was useless.
She crumbled with the first blow.
After one hit came another, and another, they never seemed to end.
Neymar froze on the steps not knowing what to do. By the time he finally went into action, it was too late.
"Papa! Papa! Stop! You're killing her! Papa!" Neymar shoved him aside and grabbed his mother, pulling her into his arms.
Neymar curled up, holding his mother in his arms, her blood spreading on his grey shirt.
"Neymar! What did you do?" Neymar looked back at his father to find him shoving a gun in Neymar's hand.
"What? No this was you!" Neymar tried throwing the gun, but his father's hand gripped around his own.
The gun moved by his father's force, to point at Neymar's mother.
"No! Stop! Let go!" Neymar tried to fight him off, but he couldn't, and without hesitation his father forced Neymar to pull the trigger.
A gun shot went off from in front of him and he looked up to see a hole between his mother's lifeless eyes.
All the air evaded Neymar's chest and he found himself struggling to see. His eyes had begun to cloud over and he lost his balance, hitting the floor half a second after his world turned black.
The feeling Neymar felt that day, he felt every morning when he woke up and every night when he fell asleep. He liked to think it wasn't his fault she was gone, but it was.
He should've fought harder, jerked the gun away, defended his mother sooner, let her leave sooner and escape the toxic relationship she had with his father, but Neymar was selfish and incapable of helping anyone but himself.
"You see. You killed her and you haven't been punished." Allegri stepped closer, but Neymar couldn't care.
Tears rolled off his chin and pooled onto his shirt as he remembered all the gory details of that day.
"I'm sorry mama." Neymar whispered before a sob wracked through his shaking frame.
Allegri raised his hand and brought it down hard against Neymar's moist cheek. Though the hit was enough to knock Ney flat onto the ground, it didn't faze him.
He was too lost in his thoughts and emotions to react, but when Allegri landed a hit to his jaw, Neymar came back.
The fearful look in Neymar's eyes turned to rage as he got up as fast as he could and made a run for the door. Blood began to pour from his cheek, as well as his busted, bottom lip, but he pushed that to the back of his mind.
Locking the door didn't run through Allegri's mind, because when Ney reached the knob, the door swung open and allowed Neymar through.
Neymar tried his best to remember the route they had come, but he couldn't remember if it was a left or a right at the third turn.
"Oh god!" Neymar cried out hysterically.
He was about to take a left when his body was sent forward into the wall in front of him.
"I didn't say you could leave yet."
"I-I.. I need to go." Neymar used the wall to push himself upright and then he took off again.
"Get back here you bastard!" Allegri's steps were heavy behind Neymar.
"Leave me alone!" Neymar screamed.
It was like a cat and mouse game through the dusty halls of the bland prison. Left, right, left, straight, up, down.
It felt like it'd never end for Neymar, as if they were running through a Labyrinth. It seemed likely he'd die of exhaustion and lack of oxygen. The legs below, which carried him, were saving his life, and well, they were quickly giving out.
The weeks without physical activity, his recent laziness, it was all showing in the moment, but Allegri seemed to also be lacking his fitness.
As Neymar ran, he spotted a hallway ahead, one that looked slightly familiar. Trusting his gut, Neymar took a sharp right when he came upon the turn. That's when Neymar spotted inmates. He didn't bother to try and identify any of them, because they weren't his friends, but they were inmates nonetheless, and that meant that he should be near Leo's cell.

Leo...

Oh goodness he missed Leo. Why'd he have to leave Neymar alone? Why'd he have to trust Kun? Why did Kun do this?
"Leo!?" Neymar called to him, hoping to find the man he'd invested so much trust into so quickly.
"Get back here inmate!" Allegri had somehow gained on Ney.
Clusters of inmates began to fill the halls as the work period began and they all made their way to their designated occupations.
Neymar pushed and shoved, but he couldn't get away.
"Leo!" He cried out as Allegri's arms circled around Ney's waist and held him back.
"Let's go inmate."
"No! Leo! Lionel!" Neymar began to hysterically cry as he tried to pry Allegri's fingers off of him.
Being annoyed by Neymar's wiggling, Allegri thought it smart to slam Neymar into the wall beside them, effectively silencing his mouth and movements.
"Allegri!" Neymar faintly heard Lionel's voice and a cluster of steps from down the emptying hall.
"Oh look who finally decided to grace us with their presence," Allegri snickered, "he's been calling for you. Actually believes you'll be able to save him. Cute." Allegri chuckled dryly.
"Leave him Allegri." Leo bit.
"You know, I wouldn't have grabbed him today, I didn't plan to. That was until Kun approached me with a proposition. He'd give me Neymar and in return I would make sure to leave Las Blaugranas alone, especially their leader. Quite a deal really. I'm definitely giving you a discount. Neymar isn't worth the protection of even one of you." Leo froze for only a slight second second before advancing towards Allegri.
"Ah ah ah. I'd stop where you stand Lionel Messi. Wouldn't want me to accidentally throw this inmate head first into the brick wall huh?" Leo froze once more, his face impassive.
"I never agreed to this deal. I never would have. I can protect my group just fine. So, let him go." Allegri laughed dryly once more.
"You really think you can protect your people. One of them has already gone behind your back to make a deal with me. What makes you think the others won't crawl to me or other groups for 'help'?" Allegri practically spit.
Lionel had inched his way closer to Allegri, almost able to lunge for Neymar if needed.
"I will only tell you one more time Allegri. Let. Him. Go." Neymar could faintly hear the argument unfolding.
The tension in the air was thick enough to choke Neymar where he lay against Allegri, who had his arms hooked under Neymar's under arms.
"No." Allegri smirked.
Footsteps quickly came from behind Allegri, causing him to quickly turn, Neymar twisting at an odd angle as he's pulled along.
Two hands gripped Allegri and pulled him away from Neymar. Whoever it was had worn a sort of mask over his head, his jumpsuit buttoned up, hiding his skin.
"Inmate! Stand down!" Allegri pushed at him and fought to get away, but it was no use.
The man's hands gripped Allegri tightly around the collar and dragged him around the corner of a cell, Allegri fighting against him the whole way.
Lionel didn't dare wait a moment before falling to the floor beside an unmoving Neymar.
"Ney?" Neymar's eyes stayed shut, but he whimpered slightly in pain.
"I'm right here Ney." Leo brushed Neymar's tangled curls from his sweating forehead.
"I've got him Leo." Gerard Pique stepped forward, ready to pick Neymar up from the floor.
"No." Leo pushed his hands away, trying to shield Neymar with his small body.
"Leo. I won't hurt him. It'll be easier if I carry him. You can hold his hand if that would make you feel bettter, but we need to get out of this hallway. Its eerily quiet here." Gerard scanned the hall.
"Ok." Leo grasped Neymar's limp hand in his shaking one.
Why was he shaking? Of course Neymar was important to him, he was with Las Blaugranas now, but he's never felt so scared to lose someone in his group. He's never not trusted Gerard.
"Leo. Come on." Gerard began to take his naturally long strides, Leo practically running beside him in an effort to keep up, Neymar's hand firmly in his grasp.
"Where is Kun?" This was the first thing Leo asked when they all entered his cell.
Neymar was placed on Leo's bed and tucked in under the freshly laundered covers.
"Luis and I saw him leaving the cell earlier before we saw Neymar missing and found you." Leo's heart seemed to drop at the mention of a missing Neymar.
Fear had gripped him when Luis told him the news. Leo didn't want to believe that something bad could've possibly happened to Neymar. His innocent, fear-filled Neymar. When they found him in the hallway, the first thing Leo noticed was Ney's battered face. Easily guessing just how Allegri man-handled him, but what was said to Neymar was yet to be discovered. They'd have to wait until Ney woke up.
Leo was deep in thought when heavy, quickly paced footsteps made their way towards Leo's cell. Everyone seemed to notice them and stood up, ready to fight if needed to protect each other. They hadn't expected a sweating Jordi to appear in the doorway, breathing heavy and looking as if he'd seen a ghost. The words that left his mouth shocked everyone, including a previously angry Leo.
"It's Kun! He's... he's dead."
