This is supposed to be option 3, which was most requested, but it took a few turns here and there. Relatively the same idea overall though! Enjoy!
:::::::::::::::::::::::Three, Luis is trying his hardest to become Leo's number one because he was jealous of Ney. Leo doesn't realize Luis's intentions and doesn't think twice about it, but Ney is feeling extremely hurt and depressed that he lost his best friend and potential lover.
The morning sun beating down on my naturally-tanned skin was a nice feeling. I sighed and watched my breath float higher into the atmosphere. I smiled lightly and observed the clouds above the field. I could hear the team talking around me, but I didn't care to listen.
To say my life is great right now would be a lie. Everything around me seemed to be falling apart, but in that moment I couldn't find it in me to care or worry. I was simply content with studying the different shapes of the clouds, instead of facing my reality.
My relaxation was interrupted by a set of fingers waving in my face.
"Neymar, what are you doing? We have to practice now." I snapped out of my trance and met Leo's curious eyes.
"Just trying to find some temporary peace." I mumbled with a distant look in my eyes.
"What do you mean?"
"I-" I didn't get to finish my statement because of Leo being ripped away from me.
I looked to my left to find Luis with his arm over Leo's tense shoulders.
"Partner work Leo! Let's get to it!" Luis grabbed his hand and pulled him along.
"Oh..." I looked around to find a partner, but the group was even.
I walked to Luis and Leo to ask to match up with them.
"Hey, group of three?" I smiled lightly.
"Of co-"
"Sorry Neymar, Leo and I need more touches." Luis gave me a forced smile before returning his attention to Leo.
I didn't give Leo a chance to agree. I walked away as fast as possible and moved to Rafa and Dani.
"Hey guys..." Dani looked up and smiled before passing me the ball.
"Well come on then Kiddo. We've got some work to do!" I chuckled at Dani's enthusiasm.
Leave it to Dani to make me feel better with just a small gesture. That's all the more reason for me to love. He's family.
The locker room was crowded with sweaty bodies and animated voices. I kept to myself in my corner as I listened in on a few conversations, none catching my attention. The boredom I felt was at an all time high, so I decided to join Leo and Masche in their fast paced conversation.
"Hey Neymar." Leo smiled and patted the spot next to him on the bench.
"Bye guys." Masche waved before exiting the room with his bags.
"So Leo, how was practice?" It was a question I asked him everyday.
"It would have been better if you were in the group with Luis and I, but it was alright."
A light smile graced my lips as my heart fluttered.
"I really wanted to work you guys, but what Luis said makes sense." Leo nodded slightly and beamed at me.
"Say Neymar, wanna come over tonight? Have a sleepover, maybe play some FIFA? Just the two of us. What do you think?" I clapped my hands in excitement.
"Yes! I'll be at yours around six, alright?" Leo nodded.
"Hey guys, what are you so happy about?" Luis's voice chimed in and my mood seemed to drop a few increments.
"Nothing much, Ney and I were just making some plans for tonight." I kept my gaze to the floor.
"Oh, mind if I tag along?" My head shot up and my eyes met his in a instant.
"Um..." I brushed my hand through my hair.
"It was just going to be Ney and I tonight..." Leo bit his lip.
"Yeah, it's just, my ex took the kids for the week and I'm home alone." Luis pleaded his case.
"Well I guess you can come. What's the harm of adding a third?" Leo smiled.
"That's what I said about practice, but you know..." I whispered to myself before rising up and walking towards my bag.
I waved to Leo before sprinting to my car. I knew the following events would be interesting.
---
"What movie should we watch?" Leo turned to me and asked.
I was situated next to Leo, snuggled up with the comforter on top of us and pillows situated around us. Luis was on the floor below us with his share of blankets and pillows.
"How about we wa-" I wanted to suggest mine and Leo's favorite movie, The Lion King, but Luis cut me off, again.
"Let's watch The Conjuring!" Leo sighed and nodded in agreement.
I was confused as to why Leo would agree when he knows of my fear of horror movies. I tried my best to avoid them due to the nightmares and paranoia they caused me.
"I'm not su-"
"Ney, quiet, it's starting." I gulped and shrunk a bit more into the couch beside Leo.
We were only twenty minutes into the movie, and I was already shaking. I felt Leo's arm wrap around me and pull me closer to his side, if that's even possible.
The silence of the room was quickly taken over by my blood curling scream. Luis jumped from his spot on the floor and looked at me in surprise. His hand was over his chest and he was breathing erratically.
"Damnit Neymar. Don't scream like that! You scared me!" He looked a bit pissed which caused a bit of anger to boil in me, but I kept it down.
"Sorry." I grumbled and we continued with the movie.
I decided after the next jump scare, to keep my face in Leo's neck and not remove it. Leo didn't protest as I rested all my weight against him and wrapped around him.
It didn't take long for me to fall into a half-asleep state.
"Ready for bed yet Leo?" Luis piped up from his spot on the floor.
"Sure. I'll carry Ney upstairs."
"Nonsense, he's already asleep, just leave him." Leo hesitated, but in the end, left me, alone, downstairs, in the dark.
Any sleepiness I had, quickly vanished and I buried myself under the covers.
About an hour into my restless, afraid state, I heard a tap against the window.
The scream that left my mouth was worse then the one from earlier.
Hot tears began to pour down my cheeks and my hands shook uncontrollably.
"Leo!" I screamed for him as I held my head in my hands, while my knees pressed to my chest.
Heavy footsteps flew down the stairs and entered the living room. Leo's heavy breaths were easily recognized in the silence.
"Ney, what's wrong?" He pulled me into his chest and rubbed my back.
"You left me down here alone. You know I hate scary movies! Why would you leave me!?" My tears dried up a bit and I bit my cheek to keep the sobs in.
"I'm sorry. You were already asleep." He pushed me back down into my make-shift bed and pulled the covers back to climb in.
His arms wrapped around me and I nuzzled into his chest and sighed.
His fingertips traced deformed shapes into my back as my breaths became light. My fist was tightly wrapped into his shirt to ensure he wouldn't leave me.
He pressed a light kiss to my forehead and relaxed into me.
---
The final whistle blew and I ran to the locker room. Our match against Deportivo went well, ending with the score: 4-0. I thought I played well and I was rather excited to go out and celebrate with the guys.
I set my towel over the side of the shower and began to wash up. Soon all the showers were filled and the chatter was plentiful.
"Ney, can I come in there with you? All the showers are taken and I don't want to be left behind." I was in the middle of wetting my hair to apply my shampoo when Leo's voice came from behind the curtain.
"Yeah, s-sure Leo." I became rather nervous as I pulled back the plain curtain and allowed Leo to step in.
We kept eye contact and didn't dare look any further down. I poured a small circle of shampoo into my hand and grabbed Leo's shoulder, turning him around so he was facing the faucet. I began to scrub his hair with my finger tips; making sure to get a proper cleaning. I then applied conditioner and rinsed his hair for him before handing him the bottle of shampoo and gesturing for him to return the favor. He did so without hesitation and soon enough, my hair was washed. We quickly finished washing ourselves before hopping out of the shower.
"Thanks Ney." Leo gave me a small smile as we changed into some casual clothing.
I simply nodded and continued to dress. The silence was enjoyable and actually brought a smile to my face, but it was soon gone when Luis pulled Leo over to his side of the room and engulfed him in a conversation.
"Yeah..." I sighed and packed my bag up before leaving.
I didn't spare Leo a second look as I walked out of the room and through the long hall to the main entrance.
It was dark out and I was alone. There was no patrol or security in the parking lot and the lot-lights were dim. I shuffled through my pocket in search of my key. I cursed under my breath when I couldn't find them. I was about to set my bag on top of my car to look for them, when I was hit in the side of the head. I fell to the ground, my head landing with a thud. My eyes shut instantly and I couldn't move. A few blows were delivered to my back before my attacker fled the scene. I groaned a bit as I began to feel nauseous and tired.
"Sorry Ney, Luis left and I was gonna come out, but Masche began to talk to me and- Oh my goodness Neymar! Ney! Are you alright!?" Leo dropped to my side and pulled me into his lap. I could hear him tapping away on his phone before his voice came out panicky.
"Please help! He's been attacked! He's unconscious in the private parking lot of Camp Nou! Neymar. I'm Lionel! Please hurry!" Leo's voice cracked and I knew he was crying.
I blacked out after a minute or so of listening to Leo fall apart.
---
When I woke up my body ached and I almost questioned whether the ambulance ran me over or not. I was wrapped in a pair of arms and my head was placed in the crook of a warm neck. I snuggled closer to the source of heat and sighed lightly.
"Ney?" Leo's soft voice whispered above me.
"Leo." I whispered back.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
"I've had better days." Leo chuckled lightly and ran his fingers up and down my side.
"Do you know who attacked you?" Leo questioned.
The room fell into silence and I sighed.
"Um... No. I'm sorry." I held around his waist tightly and buried my face in his chest.
"Hey, it's alright. The police are probably going to question you, but I won't let them until you feel better." I nodded and thanked him.
"I love you Ney. You scared me back there." My eyes grew wide.
"I love you too Leo. How long was I out?"
"Only a few hours, but enough to send me and the rest of the team into a frenzy of fear and questions."
"Where are they?"
"They're all in the waiting room, hoping to hear any news. The doctor should be in within the next half hour."
"Ok."
"Get some rest now Ney. I'll be here when you get up."
He didn't have to tell me twice, I fell asleep quickly, with a smile on my face.
---
"Was he responsive to what you were saying?" And low, gruff voice asked.
"Yeah, we had a small conversation. He seems to remember what happened. He doesn't know who did it though." I was still in Leo's tight hold; his chest rumbling with softly spoken words.
"Alright, well, we'll get some blood. His scan results should be back within the next few hours. Hopefully he doesn't wake up, but just in case, hold him a bit tighter."
Leo's arms gripped me tighter. I could feel my heart start to pound as the idea of a needle ran through my head. A cold wipe ran down my arm and then a strong prick was felt on the inside of my arm. The pain became worse as he moved the needle to find a vein. I gasped in pain and surprise as I tried to move away.
"Ney, it's ok, calm down." Leo hushed me and held me a bit tighter.
I began to cry as I saw the blood leaving my arm and filling a capsule.
"Alright, we're done. I'll be back later." A bandage was placed on the penetration mark and the doctor left.
I rubbed my eyes and wiggled out of Leo's hold. I turned away from him and jutted out my bottom lip in anger and frustration. Leo's hand found its way to my shoulder and he pulled lightly.
"Leo, please leave me alone." I bit my lip to keep my threatening tears in.
Making a scene in front of Leo is the last thing I want to do.
"What did I do?" He asked slightly irritated.
"Nothing, I-I just need some time to think..." Leo signed and left the room without another word.
I decided on attempting to go for a walk. I tossed my legs off the side of the bed and stood up in one, swift, motion.
The room grew blurry temporarily as my body stumbled forward. Shaking my head, I carried on, dragging my legs to the door and placing my hand on the handle. I quietly pulled the door open; investigating the scene around me, before carrying on.
I turned the first corner to my left, which I found out led to the large waiting room, and quickly halted my steps. In the waiting room sat almost the entire team. It warmed my heart to see how much they cared for me.
The warm fuzzy feeling that grew in my heart quickly evaded my chest when I spotted Luis with his arms around a teary-eyed Leo. Luis's hold came off as a little more than just friendly and it took everything in my power to not rush over and pull Leo from his grabby hands.
I turned back to my room and collapsed into the over-sized bed. It felt bigger than it was when Leo wasn't occupying the other side. It made me feel like a small boat in an open ocean. I sighed and gripped my already messy hair in my clenching fist.
"Stupid." I called myself from under my breath.
I closed my eyes and drifted in and out of consciousness for at least half an hour before the door reopened and two pairs of footsteps approached my bed.
"I don't know why he's so mad at me..." Leo sighed and his presence settled into the chair beside my bed.
"That's the way he is Leo. Immature, selfish, and needy. You should be used to it by now." I was rather surprised by the words leaving Luis mouth.
"Sometimes, sure, but in a moment like this, when he needs help, he doesn't want it. He's so stubborn and hard-headed." Luis chuckled at this.
"Or maybe he's just stupid." I could hear the slight anger in his voice.
"That is true, but he wouldn't be my Ney if he wasn't." Leo's hand found a place in my hair and he began to ruffle through it softly.
"Wanna stay at mine tonight Leo? It's closer to the hospital in case anything happens to him."
"Yeah, sure. We can get going now. It's almost midnight. The rest of the team has gone as well." They stood and I had to hold back the whimper that almost escaped my mouth.
"Night Ney." Leo's lips found the corner of my mouth in a quick peck.
I bit my tongue to keep my reply in, and listened to Leo and Luis shuffle out of the room.
I fell asleep with the taste of bitter jealousy in the back of my throat and a pounding headache.
I woke up with a jolt as pain seared through my head. My room was dimly lit and no other life was found. I slammed my fist down on the nurse button as the pain became worse. I sobbed and thrashed around, trying to find any sort of comfort for my pain.
The door opened and a small group of doctors rushed in.
They started rambling and hooking me up to machines and restraining me. An injection found its way to the back of my neck and I screamed out some more.
"Call the OR and tell them we're coming up now. Then make a call to Lionel." A nurse ran out of the room quickly to make the calls.
"Let's go people!" The bed began to move as I drifted in and out of consciousness. The extreme fear I'd felt moments earlier drifted from me and I finally blacked out, escaping the pain.
---
I woke up in a different room from the one earlier. I was groggy and didn't dare try and sit up. I pressed the nurse button and my doctor was quickly by my bedside.
"What happened?" I croaked.
"Well the blow you received previously was a good one. We were prepared for any extensive issues, like the one you had, because they aren't uncommon with blunt force trauma patients. We found a small blood clot buildup in your brain. We were monitoring it and it happened to enlarge. You're alright now though." He smiled at me.
"Where is everyone?" His smile faltered a bit.
"You emergency contact was called, but he did not pick up and hasn't replied in the past 8 hours. Do you have anyone else you'd like us to call?" I tried my best to smile.
"N-no that's alright. He must be sleeping." I was trying to convince myself.
"Alright. Just ring if you need anything. Rest up." I nodded and relaxed into the covers.
I buried myself in the blankets and closed my eyes.
What could Leo possibly be doing? Was he still upset with me? Or was he annoyed with my neediness?
I sighed and bit my lip as silent tears fell down my cheek.
"I'm such a fucking obligation. Damnit!" I threw a pillow at the window, which in turn knocked a glass vase with flowers inside, off the sill.
I laid in the bed for an hour, either crying my eyes out or cursing myself out. I only halted, mid-curse, when the door busted open and Leo came running through.
"Ney! I'm so sorry I wasn't here sooner! My ringer got turned off somehow and was changed to silent so I didn't get any of the hospital's calls!" I only stared at him in annoyance and disbelief.
"It was probably Luis." I whispered under my breath.
I turned to gaze out the window, trying to drown out the rest of the world.
"Sorry. Couldn't find parking. But I'm here now! No need to worry bout me Leo." My jaw clenched tightly as Luis's voice filled the room's silence.
"What do you say we stay for about half an hour, then you and I get outta here and grab some Chinese before heading back to mine? We can grab a movie as well!" He smiled.
"Uh, sure. Sounds good." My eyes grew in surprise when Leo agreed.
"Might as well leave now." I bit, holding a dark look in my eyes.
"You heard him Leo! Let's go!" Luis gripped Leo's hand and pulled him towards the door.
"N-Ney. Are you sure? We'll stay if you want." He tried.
"No Leo. I don't need you here. I can babysit myself just fine." Leo looked unsure, but finally followed Luis along.
As soon as they were gone, I began laughing. The laughs soon turned to tears and I fell apart.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!" I stood out of bed and began to tear the room apart.
My heart monitor was racing off the hook and soon enough a few doctors filled the room and tried to control me.
When I wouldn't ease up, they held onto me and stuck a needle in my neck. I began to calm down and collapsed into a nurses arms. My tears were a sign of my weakness and my small whines showed everyone the pain I was feeling. I was soon out of it.
I could sense everything around me, I just couldn't react. I didn't know why, but I found a sort of peace in this disabled state.
I couldn't tell how much time had passed, but soon enough, Dani arrived at the hospital. He was set to take me home after I woke up, which would supposedly be within the next hour.
When I finally did come around, I didn't utter a word. Dani simply helped me into his four-door and we drove off. The doctor had prescribed me a pain killer and depression pill.
The drive home was short, but by the time we arrived, I was out of it again. The exhaustion that filled my body was unbelievable. All I wanted to do was sleep for a week. It didn't sound like a bad idea either in that moment.
Dani lifted my still body from the car and carried me into my house. I sighed as my body molded into his grip and enjoyed his warmth.
"How is he?" Leo's voice was the first thing I heard when we entered my house.
"His injury is fine, but his mental state, I don't know. They prescribed him some pills to help with both issues, make sure to keep them away from him. Check up on him every 30 minutes or so. Keep the noise levels down as well. Thanks Leo." Dani placed a kiss on my head before leaving.
I was situated on the couch with a small blanket wrapped around me. Leo settled beside me and I was soon passed out in his embrace.
---
"Luis, I need to run to the store and get some milk and a loaf of bread. Keep an eye on him. If he wakes up in pain, give him this. We don't need his body shutting down from any extreme pain. Also, keep everything quiet. He is prone to intense migraines." A few moments later, the front door shut.
"Little shit." Luis mumbled under his breath before plopping down on the couch.
The tv quickly began blaring through the living room. I could tell he had it up to at least 50 by the way my ears began to ring. A sharp pain went through my head and I cried out in pain.
"Oh is that too loud Jr? My bad." The tv became even louder and Luis chuckled as I covered my ears.
"Luis, that hurts my head. Please turn it down!" A small tear built up in the corner of my eye.
My visions grew blurry as the pain in my head intensified. I yelped in pain, but it wasn't heard. I began losing all senses and my breathing picked up.
Suddenly, the noise went silent and the only thing heard was Leo's voice, yelling.
"What the hell Luis! I leave for two minutes and I come back to this! Can you not see him crying!? I told you to keep it down! Are you trying to put him back in the hospital?" Leo lifted me off the couch and made his way towards the stairs.
"Get out Luis." He growled and we disappeared around the corner.
I settled down as soon as I was placed in my bed. Leo crawled in with me and massaged the back of my neck gently. I hummed in content and rested my forehead against Leo's.
"Are you okay Ney?" I nodded and opened my droopy eyes slightly to look at him.
"I'm alright." I smiled lightly and closed my eyes again, only to reopen them when Leo's warm lips pressed to mine.
"L-Leo! What are you doing?" My eyes were wide in size and my voice was up a few octaves.
"Do you not like it!? I'm sorry! I should've asked damnit! Ney, please don't be mad at me! I'm sorry! Shit! I-" I cut off his rambling with a soft kiss to his mumbling lips.
"I don't mind. I was just surprised." I smiled and kissed him again.
"I'm glad." He whispered softly before claiming my mouth as his.
---
"Partner up!" Enrique yelled out from the touch-line, where he was talking to the media crews.
"Let's go Leo!" Luis grabbed Leo's arm and dragged him over to a square made with cones.
"But Leo..." I whispered and shook my head.
It'd been a few weeks since my surgery and I was permitted to participate in practice again.
Leo had kept me up to date with team news and a few small things from practice. I'd heard stories of Luis being more aggressive towards his teammates and growing rather irritated when someone brought up my name.
I laid in bed late at night thinking about all the possible explanations for his behaviors, but only came up with irrational ones.
I decided I would confront him after practice today, when no one was around, so he wouldn't be afraid of being honest with me. I told Leo to wait for me and that I should only be 10 minutes max.
"Sorry Jr. Leo's mine." Luis growled as Leo walked to get a ball.
"Good one Luis." I chuckled jokingly.
"I'm not kidding Neymar." His face showed no sign of fun or amusement; only seriousness.
I walked away and began to work with Dani and Rafa, while constantly checking over my shoulder to keep an eye on Luis and Leo.
After a few times of checking, I came up with nothing, so I cut down on the consistency. About five minutes later, I heard Leo's laughter mixing with Luis and turned to see Luis on top of Leo.
"You're such a klutz Luis." Leo punched his arm.
"Only for you Leo." Luis patted Leo's face and stood up, taking Leo's hand and hoisting him to his feet.
He held hand for a bit longer than necessary, making me clench my teeth and squeeze my fists.
Leo and I weren't official, but it hurt to see Leo go along with Luis, when he just kissed me and held me rather intimately not too long ago.
"Ney!" I was pelted in the back of the head by the ball causing me to go falling to the ground.
"Sorry kid!" Dani knelt next to me as I held my head in my shaking hands.
I could feel the headache coming on within seconds.
"It was my fault Dani. It's alright. I just need to go sit for a bit and get outta the sun." I rose to my feet and walked towards the stairs.
I took one step down, but turned dizzy and wobbled slightly as I attempted to take another. I quickly sat down and let myself settle before continuing down.
Once I reached the room, I reclined onto a bench and closed my eyes. I let the headache pass, but it took almost an hour. By then, the team was beginning to come around and chat lightly.
I sat up from the bench and rubbed my eyes tiredly. A small yawn slipped past my chapped lips and silenced quickly.
"I know! That's what I told him!" Luis and Leo came into the room laughing.
The sight pulled at something in my chest and made me frustrated, just like earlier.
They continued their light chatting as they stood at their lockers, next to me, and didn't even acknowledge my existence.
"Wow." I chuckled as I scrolled through Insta.
"What Ney?" Leo huffed.
"Nothing." I shook my head and butted out my bottom lip slightly.
"Luis wants to talk to you about the incident from the other week, privately, after the team meeting. I'll be see you after." Leo spoke.
"Great. I wanted to talk to him as well." I glared at Luis when Leo turned away. He glared back.
---
After the team meet, everyone filed out of the building, leaving Luis and I alone in the locker room. The silence that filled the room ate at me to the point of forcing me to speak.
"What do you think you're doing Luis?"
"What ever do you mean Neymar?" He smirked.
"You know what I mean. Leo's mine, so back off. He doesn't feel that way towards you."
"I wouldn't sound so sure. After all, who does he work with during practice? Not you." I clenched my fist slightly and rose to my feet.
"What the hell is your problem with me!? We're supposed to be friends! That's how the trident functions!"
"I'll tell you what my problem is! You're such an airhead! You think you're the best beside Leo and no one is better than you! Well guess what!? I'm better. Leo needs someone who is good enough for him! Not some lanky kid who has yet to mature."
"Leo doesn't want you Luis! He wants me! He's wanted me from the start and the feeling is mutual! Soon enough, we'll be a thing! So back the hell up!"
"No Neymar! He wants me! Not you! I'm better than you in every way possible. Whether it be your height, muscle, skill, smarts, or looks, I'm better!"
"Oh get over yourself Luis! It's not about those things! It's about who gets him! Who understands him! It's about who will even out his quirks and flaws! And let me tell ya, that sure as hell ain't you!"
"Damnit! I should've finished you when I had the chance!" Luis charged at me and slammed me up against the locker.
"What the hell!?" I yelped.
"Who do you think attacked you in that parking lot!? It was me! I should've ended you when I was able to! When you were down!"
"What? When I can't defend myself!? You're a coward Luis! Nothing but a weak, pathetic, big headed, coward! That's all you'll ever be!" Luis delivered a blow to my stomach and dropped me to the floor.
He continued his attack, landing blows to my stomach until I was out of breath and feeling queasy.
"Neymar what's taking you so long?" The door to the room opened and Leo's voice echoed around the room.
Luis seemed to be in a trance and refused to let up on his kicks.
"Leo!" I wheezed.
His rushed footsteps made their way over to the sound of my cries. Seconds later, Luis was tackled to the ground and Leo began to deliver blows to his face. I found a frightening rage in his eyes that scared me.
"Leo enough." I grabbed his fist mid-punch and pulled him off a barely-conscious Luis.
Leo's eyes connected with mine for a second before he turned back to Luis. I prepared myself to stop another flying-fist, but Leo simply grabbed his collar and pulled him to his face.
"Next transfer window, you're leaving!" He dropped him to the ground and gripped onto my arm, dragging me all the way to his car.
"Leo..."
"Leo...
"L-"
"Shut up Neymar!" I swallowed and put my head down in silence.
The ride home was filled with silence, excepted for Leo's constant deep breaths.
His fists were clenched around the steering wheel the whole time, turning them white.
When we pulled up to his house and he hopped out of the car, coming around to my side, and pulling me out of the car. He didn't slow his steps towards the house, even when I almost fell over my own feet. When the front door opened, he simply marched in, shut it, and marched upstairs to his bedroom.
"Get changed into one of my night shirts and get settled into bed. I'll be back." I nodded with my gaze dropped to the floor.
Minutes later, Leo entered the room with a more neutral expression, not showing his current feelings. He settled into the bed next to me and we laid there in silence until he finally spoke up.
"I can't believe I didn't realize. Damnit! I'm such a fucking idiot!" His fingers gripped his hair tightly.
"No one saw it Leo. It's ok." I placed my hand on his shoulder.
"I should've known though! I was supposed to look out for you!"
"Leo, I'm not your responsibility. I can take care of my self, somewhat. I just need you here as support, not to make all my life decisions. I've got to make my mistakes and experience life myself. Please don't be so hard on yourself." I gave him a light smile and pulled him to me.
Our lips connected quickly and I took control. I wanted to show Leo in every way possible that I don't blame him for this. He wasn't at fault, even if I felt anger towards him for his obliviousness, he wasn't to blame. So, I proved it to him the one way us Brazilian's know how, love and affection.
