"This year I'm going to have to go home to America," I told Draco as we walked onto the train and found our carriage.

"That's okay," he said. "When are you coming back during break?"

"Actually I am not coming back this year to Hogwarts. I talked to the headmistress of the American wizarding school, Ilvermorny, and they've agreed to let me be an exchange student for this year only," I said.

"You're not coming back?" he said. "Will you at least write to me?"

"Of course," she said. "I can tell you all about the American school. Apparently it is in a very beautiful location."

Hermione then decided to walk into the compartment. "I'm going to miss you this year," she said. "It's going to be boring without you."

When we got to King's Cross Station, I said goodbye to all my friends and joined my family at the entrance. Logan was going to be joining me at Ilvermorny this year.

.________.

When we returned to Boston it was late in the day. I went straight up to my apartment to pack for a new school. Logan and I had already been sorted during Easter break. We were both in Thunderbird.

I was kind of sad because I wasn't going to see my friends for a whole year but I would at least get to write to them.

"Are you alright?" asked Logan.

"Just going to miss my friends," I said.

"Me too," he said. He threw his new robes into his trunk and slammed the top shut. I did the same.

"We have the whole summer ahead of us," I said.

"Let's go to the beach!" he said. We grabbed out bathing suits and put them on and then Logan who was now sixteen grabbed the keys to the SUV and we hopped into the car.

The beach was about an hour away and when we got there I almost threw myself out of the car. It had been a long time since I had been to the beach.

I hoped my whole summer would be like this.
