Spring rolled around and soon the crocuses were in full bloom. The giant squid was a bit more active in the lake and the air seemed to take on a fresher scent. The Ravenclaw common room brightened up considerably and even the prefects had a mood of contentedness.

Easter break drew ever nearer and I still did not know where I was going for Easter. The Weasley's had already departed and had not asked me to join them, mind you. For this I held some resentment. I knew that Luna was not leaving school for Easter so I resigned myself to staying with her. That is, until there was a change of plans.

"Laila!"

"What Draco?" I said exasperatedly.

"I was wondering if you maybe wanted to come to my house for Easter?" he asked.

"I'd be happy to but what would your family think of me?" I asked. "I am a muggleborn."

"I know but I told my family about you and they were willing to overlook it until they get to know you better," he answered.

"Alright then," I said. "See you on Easter." I then walked off down the hall because I had to tell Luna that I wasn't staying with her.

._________.

"Luna, I've been looking for you," I said when I found her in the library. "I won't be staying at Hogwarts for Easter."

"That's quite alright," she said. "My father owled and said that I could come home so I was going to tell you after I did homework anyway."

"Oh that's great," I said. "I didn't want to disappoint you." She smiled serenely.

"Have fun."
