It was a few days later when I woke up in the middle of the night and decided I needed a cup of tea in order to go back to sleep.
I exited Ravenclaw tower to make my ways down to the kitchens. When I got to the Fat Lady's floor, I spied a dog. Why a dog? I've never seen one in the castle before.
"Here puppy," I called. "Come here." The dog turned to look at me and then made its way over slowly. I stuck my hand out for it to sniff and it did, then allowed me to pet it.
"Good puppy," I said. "Good dog." I ruffled the fur on its head and then it turned and walked off. I continued down to the kitchens and got my cup of tea from Honey the house elf.
I was walking back up to the tower when I heard a commotion. "Sirius Black has broken into the castle," I heard Peeves screech through the halls. I took off running towards the common room and dashed inside just as McGonnagall came running in.
"Everyone calmly make your way to the Great Hall," she said. Kenneth and Marley rounded up all the prefects and students and off we went.
When we got to the Great Hall, we were directed towards a fourth of the floor to sleep on. I grabbed a sleeping bag and sat down next to Luna.
"This is crazy," I said. "How could he have broken in?"
"Maybe he used his animagus," said Luna.
"Animagus?" I questioned.
"A form a witch or wizard can take of an animal," she answered. "Some say his is a big black shaggy dog."
