READ! So Melody comes to Pheonix drop around episode 75, when Aphmau, Garroth, Laurence, Kiki, Donna, and Logan are away. It's when Aphmau meets Malachi, if you remember. Thanks for reading!

Walking up the hill, Melody left her small makeshift boat behind. Through the months, she had changed a lot, at least, on the outside she did. She now wore a sky blue flowey tank top with brown shorts and a black belt for her scabbard. Her hands were covered by tight black gloves that reached her elbows, and matching black boots that went just below her knees. Her blonde hair was loose and tumbled down her back, going to her waist. She still kept Garroths scarf around her wrist, and she tightened the string on Vylads necklace so it was a choker. She had also ditched the black mask for a new brown one. All in all, she liked he new look, most of her outfit was stolen, but she didn't let that bother her.

After a short amount of walking, Melody came across the village. It was a quaint little place, though she didn't see anybody at first. She followed a path to the center of the village, a large wheat field at the base of a hill. On the hip stood a purple and white house, which she presumed was the lords. Melody was here to see Donna, but she didn't wanna make the lord mad that she came in uninvited. So she walked up the hill and knocked on the door. No one immediatly  answered, so she hesitatantly knocked again. This time, she could hear someone shuffling around, and the door opened to reveal a young woman with pointed ears and orange hair.

"Ah, hello. I'm Mel, are you the lord of this village?" She asked the woman.

"No dear, I'm afraid lord Aphmau isn't here right now, are you visiting the village?" The woman asked kindly. She reminded Melody of her mother.

"Yes, I'm here to see an old friend of mine, Donna, I was told she live here now." The woman's face fell.

"I'm sorry, but she is not here either. She's away on her, ah, honeymoon."

"Wait what?! Donna got married?!" Melody exclaimed.

"Shhhh! You'll wake the children!" The woman said, "Here, why don't you come in? I'm Zoey by the way."

Melody followed Zoey into the house, where she sat down at the table while Zoey strayed to prepare tea.

"Oh! Allow me! I have these tea leaves from Scaleswind I've just been dying to try out!" Melody reached into her backpack to pull out a small bag of green leaves.

"Scaleswind? Awful far to travel just to see a friend." Zoey commented, sitting down and letting Melody make the tea without argument.

"Oh, I'm not from there, I was just in the village one time and picked them up, you see." Melody explained as she put the leaves into the kettle.

"So, where are you from then?"

Melody hesitated for a second.

"Um, I don't live anywhere at the moment, I'm just traveling." Melody replied nervously

"Alright, where were you born then? You had to have been born in a village." Zoey asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, I was born in...O'khasis." Melody answered. Something about Zoey made her want to be honest. Her answer surprised Zoey, if only for a second.

"Really? That's interesting. What did you say your name was? Mel?"

"Um, y-yes." Melody replied, hovering over the kettle anxiously. This woman seemed to suspect something.

"Sounds like it would be short for something, Melanie?"

Melody gulped.

"Or maybe, Mel-" but she was cut off by a knock at the door. Zoey frowned, then cleared her face  and went to answer it. Melody released a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding. Zoey knew. She had to, but how? Was it really that easy to connect 'Mel' to 'O'khasis'? Melody distracted herself by pouring the tea into the cups Zoey had laid out.

"Oh! Mel, could you pour another cup of tea? The cups are in the drawer just below the kettle." Zoey's voice called out.

"Oh! No it's fine! I can't really talk long, I just wanted to ask a couple questions about barrier magic." A different woman's voice said timidly. Melody grabbed the other cup and poured he rest of the tea, setting them on the table as Zoey walked back in, followed by a short, blonde woman with large glasses. She was very familiar, but Melody couldn't recall knowing her. The woman seemed to also recognize Melody.

"Mel, this is Emmalyn, if you ever need any books or have questions as long as your here, you can go to her." As soon as Zoey said, 'books' Melody remembered. She was that librarian she stole the book on Esmund from back when she was in the guild.

"Yes, we've met, I believe," Melody said, pulling a book out of her bag, "I need to return this to you." Melody handed the book to her with a smile, though she couldn't see it because of the mask. Emmalyn looked at it and gasped,

"Irene! It's the book on Esmund! But this got...wait...you!?" Emmalyn exclaimed. Zoey looked at them, trying to figure out what history they had together. Melody chuckled.

"Sorry about that, it's not overdue is it? Anyway, Zoey, what did you mean by, 'as long as your here'? I'm not moving in or anything. Im just here to see Donna."

"You know Donna?" Emmalyn asked, as Zoey replied,

"Of course, but you'll have to wait until she gets back."

"Oh, do you know how long it might be?"

"They've been gone for a long time, it could be a while." Emmalyn answered.

"Here, why don't we talk more over tea? It's going to get cold at this rate." Zoey suggested.

After one female-bonding tea session

"There are rooms in the guard tower, you can sleep there for now, we might wanna set up a house for you tomorrow since we don't know how long you'll be staying." Zoey said pleasantly as she cleaned up the dishes. The girls had talked for a long time, mostly about Melody and Donna, when Emmalyn had freaked out about it getting late and her not having time to do reasearch. She had practically run out the door, thanking Melody for the book, probably forgetting she stole in it her rush.

"Thanks Zoey, I'm sorry for the inconvinience."

"It's no trouble dear, really. It was getting a bit too quiet around here anyway. Tomorrow I can introduce you to everyone else." Zoey walked Melody down to the guard tower and showed her the rooms.

"Thanks again!" Melody yelled from the balcony as Zoey walked back to the house.

Walking  back into her room, which was very tiny, Melody set down her bag, and undid the scabbard from her side, leaning it against the bed frame. Sitting down, Melody had a feeling that  she was gonna be in Pheonix Drop for a long time.
