Yawning, Melody sat up in bed, staring at the plain wooden plank walls. Brushing her tangled blonde hair out of her face, she sat up from bed, strapping on her sword and grabbing her bag. Combing her hands through her hair, Melody stepped onto the balcony to get a better view of the place. It was a fine village indeed, with little houses and a few tall towers, she could definetly see Donna living in a village like this. Smiling, Melody headed down the stairs and walked over to the lords house, Aphmau, was her name. She was planning on seeing if Zoey was awake yet to introduce her to everyone, but when Melody came up over the hill she could see her outside watching a little boy play in a sandbox.

"Hi Zoey! Who's this?" She called to her. Zoey glanced over and smiled.

"Melody! I see your awake, this is Levin, Lord Aphmaus son. Well, adopted son."

"I see, you a big fan of kids then?" Melody asked

"Of course! Their so adorable! Just look at him!" Zoey exclaimed. Melody chucked, looking over at the boy again. He had short blonde hair, big blue eyes, and a large smile as he played. For a second, Melody thought she was looking at Garroth. Shaking her head, Melody released the breath she had been holding and smiled at the child.

"Hi Levin! I'm Mel!" She said, and Levin smiled shyly in response.

"He doesn't talk much, he's still learning." Zoey explained, looking at him lovingly. "Anyway! I bet you came here for a tour of the village, right?"

"Yeah, and to meet the people in it, I'm curious to see who Donna's been living with this whole time."

"Alright, just let me take care of Levin," she turned to Levin, "Alright Levin! It's firm for your nap!"

"No nap! Pway!" Levin protested as Zoey picked him up

"Yes nap, you've played for long enough, I'll be just a moment Mel." Zoey dissapeared into the purple and white striped house. Melody played with the stone on her choker as she waited. Soon Zoey reamerged without Levin, and started to show Mel around.

( Time skip cause I'm tired, she already met Molly, Dale, Brian, Emma, Corey, Emmalyn, and Lucinda.))

"And here's Candenzas house." Zoey said, showing Melody a small wooden house, similar to the other houses lining the walkway.

"Why don't you go and introduce yourself to Brendan while I'm getting Cadenza? She's working on some new dresses, he's the guy standing  right over there." Zoey said, pointing to a man wearing a green shirt with black hair standing in front of the pink house, standing away from them.

"Sure, sounds good." Melody said, walking over to him while Zoey walked into the house. As Melody got closer, she could see him staring at the door of the pink house, mumbling something. Ignoring that, she stopped a few feet away from him, waiting for him to see her. When he didn't, she closed the gap and tapped his shoulder.

"Excuse me?" She said politely, Melody may have started a theives guild, but she was raised as a princess. Brendan turned his head sharply to look at her, shutting his mouth immediately, only to drop it open again when he saw her.

"Um, I'm Mel, I'm going to be staying in the village for a while until Donna comes back...uh..." Melody trailed off uncomfortably as he kept staring at her with his mouth open.

"Excuse me?" She repeated, a little weirded out. He seemed to realize he had been staring and tried to summon a response.

"Uh, U-um... Hi.... Beautiful..." He trailed off, before realizing what he said and shutting his mouth, his face bright red.

"Did you just hit on me?" Melody asked calmly. It had happened before once or twice in the theives guild. She wasn't oblivious.

"No! No! I j-just....u-umm" He stammered dropping his gaze to the floor. Melody was considering  saying goodbye and leaving the poor guy when Zoey came up with a red-headed girl wearing a beautiful green dress.

"Ah! Hello, you must be the 'Mel' I've been hearing about!" The girl said, shaking Melodys hand before analyzing her. The whole scene was making her uncomfortable.

"Tell me, what fabric is your top made out of?" She asked. Melody actually didn't know, she had swiped it from a vendor in Meteli.

"Um, I'm not sure, so, what's your name?" Melody asked. The girl froze, scratching the back of her head awkwardly as she replied.

"Where are my manners? I'm Cadenza, pleased to meet you. And if you ever need anything sewn or tailored, I'm your girl!" She said smiling. Melody smiled back, she seemed really nice, if a little obsessed with clothing.

"Thank you Cadenza, but I'm afraid I want to get Mel through the whole village before sundown." Zoey said, showing Melody away to the pink house Brendan had been staring at before. Remembering him, Melody looked around to see if he was still here, but he had dissapeared when she was taking to Cadenza.

"This is Kawaii~Chans house, she's very friendly." Zoey explained while knocking on the door.

"Come in! Kawaii~Chan is making cupcakes!" A voice shouted from the other side in third person. Melody raised an eyebrow when she walked in with Zoey. The inside was also pink, and there was a Meifwa girl with pink hair and a maid outfit mixing batter in a bowl in the little kitchen.

"Zoey~Sama! Who is this!" She asked, looking at Melody with wide eyes.

"Kawaii~Chan, this is Mel, she's visiting town to see Donna. We don't know how long she'll be staying for." Zoey explained as Melody waved.

"Oh! Kawaii~Chan is so excited! Does Mel~Chan want Kawaii~Chan to make her a house?" She asked excitedly, mixing the batter so quickly it was splashing over the edge.

"Oh! No it's fine, I'm staying in the guard tower, thank you though." Melody said, shaking her head politely.

"It's no trouble! Kawaii~Chan would love to have a new neighbor!"

"You know Mel, she did make Lord Aphmaus house, and we don't know how long you'll be staying for. It might not be such a bad idea." Zoey said thoughtfully.

"Oh no! Really it's fine. I like the guard tower, besides, it's not like I'm moving in." Melody explained. Kawaii~Chan pouted, stopping he mixing as Zoey led Melody out the door.

"You know Mel, you might want to consider moving in." Zoey said to her as they walked.

"I don't know, travelings kinda fun." Melody lied. She missed having a home, but the lord wasn't even here and the last thing she wanted to do was make them angry and draw attention to herself.

"You never know, this place really grows on you, practically half of the residents, myself included, came here to visit, or sell something, and ended up moving here permanently."

"Really?" Melody asked, shocked.

"Really. There's something about Pheonix Drop that just attracts people. Just consider it, okay?" Zoey said.

"Yeah, I will." Melody replied, gazing around town, trying to imagine herself living here. It was easier than she thought.
