When Brendon, Kyle, Leah, and Cam got their food they went into the dining hall and looked for Mackenzie, who called them over quickly. Brendon sat in between Mackenzie and Leah, Cam sat on Leah's left and Kyle sat in between Mackenzie and Cam. The four of them ate in silence until Brendon turned to Mackenzie.
"So, Mackenzie,"
"Just call me Mack."
"Okay, so you know about the semi week six right?"
Leah turned to Cam shocked "holy shit he's actually gonna do it." She muttered under her breath.
Mack turned pink "Yeah, why?"
"You wanna go with me?" He asked like he'd done it 1 million times. "You know, be my date?"
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah, dead serious."
"Oh my god of course!"
A huge smile spread across Brendon's face. "Awesome." He hugged Mack and looked over at Cam. "Holy shit why was that so hard?"
"What the fuck are you talking about?! You made it seem so EASY!" Cam yelled.
"Bruh, are you kidding me? I'm fucking shaking so hard dude." He held his hand out in front of him.
. . .
After lunch, Cam, Leah, Mack, Kyle, and Brendon all walked back to Boland for Rec Announcements. When the guys went down to the basement and Leah and Mack got up to the second floor, the halls erupted with girlish screaming. So much so, that Mack's hall proctor cane out to see what was going on.
"Mack got a date to the semi dance!" Leah yelled
"Oh my god that's awesome! I'm so happy for you!" Ms. Demaral (Mack's hall proctor) said and joined in on the screaming.
Mack was smiling from ear to ear. She couldn't contain her happiness.
During rec, Brendon and Kyle had to practice, so they used the basement for practicing while Cam went up to hang out with Leah and Mack. Before he did so, he stopped Brendon is the hall. "What the fuck Brendon." He said.
"What?"
"Dude, I thought we were gonna wait untill week six!"
"Thats three goddamn weeks away! I couldn't wait that long!"
"Really putting the pressure on me, bud."
"I know. I'm sorry, man."
"Nah, don't worry about it. I'm just a little on edge from the lack of sleep and, you know, you asking Mack to the dance kinda pissed me off and.... I kinda blew up in your face." Cam rubbed the fatigue out of his eyes.
"I should be the one apologizing. I didn't go with the plan."
"Dude, it's fine."
Brendon looked at Cam. He looked like he was about to fall asleep. "Maybe you should take a nap instead of hanging out with them."
"I'm probably just gonna fall asleep there anyway."
