Cam, TJ, Peter, and Leah sat in the practice room. Mr. C was trying to decide whether they should start the last to songs or practice.
"How about we start Dignity and Better Strangers, then practice the rest of the week? Like polish up on things." TJ suggested.
"Yeah that's a good idea. Guys set up for uh....Better Strangers."
Leah hoisted herself out of her seat. This was yet another song she was singing, so she didn't have to play any instruments. "Leah when I gets to the chorus where the he repeatedly sings "golden days" I want you to belt. You think you can do that?" Mr. C asked.
"Yeah, I'll try."
. . .
The practice for Better Strangers and Dignity both went pretty well, but Dignity was kind of tricky at some times so they ran through it twice. Everyone picked it up pretty quickly.
"TJ, practice the bass line in Better Strangers, Leah, awesome job today don't strain your voice to much. Drink some tea or something. Cam, practice the riff in Dignity it's a little tricky, and Peter, get those drum fills down. Awesome job today guys and don't forget to meet outside Duffy tomorrow after breakfast." Mr. C said as class ended.
"Have a good day Mr. C." Leah and Cam said as they left. Lunch was going to be a bit weird without Kyle and Brendon.
When Leah and Cam got to lunch, they were right. Lunch was oddly quiet without Kyle and Brendon. Leah and Mack talked about how excited they were for recording, and other stuff like that, while Cam just sat and ate. He wouldn't have anyone to talk to during down time which was going to be weird.
After lunch, Cam, Leah, and Mack walked back to Boland and went they're separate ways. Leah went up to her room and made herself some tea like Mr. C had told her, and Cam went to his empty and quiet room.
Leah spent down time with her roommate. "So how'd everything go today?" Colleen asked.
"Good, Peter was having a little trouble with drum fills, but I think he's just tired. You know, just didn't have his coffee this morning."
Colleen smiled. "You excited to record tomorrow?"
"More nervous than excited, but yeah I guess so."
"Don't be nervous, you're gonna do great. I can't wait to see the show, it's gonna be awesome."
"I can't wait to see your show either." Leah smiled. "You going to rec?"
"Yeah, I have an event with Ms. Demaral."
"Have fun, I gotta skip so I don't shred my vocal cords. Mr. C's orders."
"I'm sorry you have to stay in here by yourself."
"Nah, don't worry about it. I'll get some sleep and practice in."
"Okay, no singing though."
"Right."
"Oh! Rec Announcements."
Leah begrudgingly got up and walked out into the hall for Rec Announcements.
