Monday's Core Course was nothing special. It was a lecture on drug addiction, but it was nothing Leah hadn't heard before. After Core Course, Leah went back to her room with her roommate, who'd she hung out with that night.
After saying goodnight to her mom over the phone, she gave her phone back to her proctor and went to sleep. She fell asleep very quickly, dispite her sleeping through all rec.
. . .
Leah woke up the next morning at six, took a shower, and got ready. After she did her make up, she got dressed in a New Politics tank top and a pair of skinny jeans. Not wanting to deal with her hair, she pulled it back into a ponytail. After eating breakfast with Colleen and her friends, she put her earbuds in and walked to Duffy by herself. She waited on the steps with Peter for TJ and Cam.
When TJ and Cam showed up, so did the bus and they all got on. The ride to the recording studio wasn't to bad. They talked about stupid things and fooled around a bit, but they then began to think about band names. Everyone began to run out of ideas untill TJ said "What about August Rain?"
"You know, I like it." Mr. C said. "We're gonna name the band that."
"Okay, that was fast." Leah said. They a got off the bus and walked into the recording studio.
. . .
After recording all three songs, Mr. C was talking to the guy in the mixing room, and Leah, Cam, TJ, and Peter were fooling around out in the recording room. Cam was playing Bohemian Rhapsody on the piano and TJ was doing a surprisingly spot on impression of Freddie Mercury. The only one who could have done it better was Brendon, who had and extremely wide vocal range. When it got to the part of Bohemian Rhapsody where everyone kicked in like a chorus, Peter sang the really high parts and Leah sand the really low parts, all mockingly of course. They continued to do this until Mr. C came out and told them it was time to go.
. . .
When Leah and Cam got back to Boland, Rec was already over and it was time for dinner, so they got changed and went to diner. The table was back to its normal livelyness because everyone who normally sat there was back. It was nice to have everyone in the same place again.
